If you want bad special effects, find the Phoebe Dollar film, "Creepies". It features a giant rubber spider on a string, being bounced around toy cars and poorly-made model buildings while "destroying" Hollywood. It's a pretty funny flick though.
@gorehound: And so a new internet meme was born, "Yeah, but will it look better than Avatar?" will join "Yeah, but will it blend?" and "Yeah, but can it run Crysis?" in the Anals (yeah I spelled that right) of internet history!
Do you all forget some of Jackson's early works like Dead Alive (aka Braindead) and Meet the Feebles? Jesus.. they weren't much better than plastic dinosaurs. Well, that is.. they were much more creative but just as painful to watch.

That was pretty gruesome. But as crappy dinos go, still not as bad a Aztec Rex or whatever the hell it was called, with Dichen Lachman and Ian Ziering. Quite possibly the worst film I've ever seen... Not because the sock puppet above looks more realtstic, but because I just can't forgive the crappiness of Aztec Rex on any level.
