I love the directions for use, in particular:

    2. Have a locked cabinet.

    &

    4. Secure the helmet with tape or string.

So aliens have psychic powers(according to the site) and can cross vast distances of space/dimensions, but locks and a knot/tape are above their grasp.

@GitEmSteveDave+$240InPudding: is that any more ridiculous than aliens, that are deathly allergic to water, invading a planet that's 70% water?

Their magic though blocking material, "Velostat", looks mysteriously like the screen material from my back door.

@tamoko: My favorite testimonial from the site:

"Since trying Michael Menkin's Helmet, I have not been bothered by alien mind control. Now my thoughts are my own. I have achieved meaningful work and am contributing to society.

My life is better than ever before. Thank you Michael for the work you are doing to save all humanity."

I just want to know what employer hired this thought-screen-helmet wearing lunatic.

The most disturbing realization I had when browsing the site is that the people who make these hats aren't just being cautious IN CASE aliens try to abduct or control them at some point in the future, they actually believe they are the victims of frequent (if not CONSTANT) alien mind control attempts.

@vinylrake: Yeah, I just went back to the site an dgave it some indepth study. Wow these people are bat-shit crazy. Perhaps they've overlooked the possibility that teh aliens have tapped into the InterTubes, and every time someone visits their site, they just becoming another Manchurian canidate.

@tamoko: wow I wasn't far off. From the site:

"4. Secure the helmet with tape or string.

Almost any kind of tape or string wrapped around the helmet several times will prevent aliens from removing the helmet if they manage to get close to you."

@vinylrake: Like the least you'd have to worry about was them taking off your anti-alien mind control helmet. Can we all say "probes"?

Man, I wish I'd known about this before spending $500,000 on Scientology. It's so much cheaper to banish the aliens from my brain with tinfoil!

That helmet may protect her from aliens, but is powerless against my undress-you-with-my-eyes gaze.

@nonpareil: This is really causing an internal debate within me. Do I stand by my scientific and skeptical notions, or do I abandon them for a pretty face and empty noggin?
