@SinisterBill: Ya, I'm pretty sure the "video game" part was added after it was posted. I was confused when I first read the article and had to reread it like three times to make sure I wasn't missing the video game part cause those renders didn't look movie quality. It could also be that I subconsciously skipped over the words several time focusing on other places where "flick" and movie release date was mentioned. My bust if it was overlooking, but the authors bust if he added the video game part later.

@crashedpc : ゴキブリ and 蟑螂 division: I'm just glad it was confirmed they edited the article, I was feeling stupid that I would of missed the "video game" part when scanned over it so many times to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me.

I fail to see what's so impressive about all this. If anything it looks like a Starcraft 2 rip-off; and Starcraft 2 LOOKS BETTER.

@SnehalMarten: Well lets see... Star Craft 2 is an RTS where this is looking to be more of an action/adventure game. Star Craft 2 maintains more of the isometric view, where this will be more of a 3rd person view. The game will be based on a movie, where as Star Craft 2 is a sequel to Star Craft.

So basically the only thing that you could really call a rip-off is that Avatar takes place on another planet and there are aliens. So Star Craft 2 must be a rip-off of Alien, right?

I wonder which was conceived of first. I remember remember first reading about Avatar probably 5+ years ago when it was known as Project 880. When was Star Craft 2 started?

Basically what I am trying to say to call one a rip-off of the other is kinda ridiculous when the only similarity that can be drawn is an alien planet with ZOMG ALIENS!

@hopskipper: Did you? All I read were references to "flick" and movie release dates. Did you read somewhere in there where they said "game"? I sure as hell did not.
