@Makidian: Hmmm... if the Hulk appears but not Bruce Banner, is that a Norton credit? Did they use his face at all for the Hulk? I don't recall that they did.
@Lassus: Yeah my comment says Bruce Banner/Hulk much like the rumor above says Loki will be mind controlling Bruce Banner making the Hulk wreck everything in sight. At some point they would have to be showing Bruce Banner as Bruce Banner. In that moment I want it to be Edward Norton. I don't care if it's a five minute cameo, but consistency through all the franchises is important and cutting Norton out would be shameful. For me it would be the same as if they cut out RDJ as Iron and used someone else, because you know, his face isn't on his mask....
@Makidian: Eh. I guess I see little need for Norton for a 20-minute Hulk destructo-fest. If they can't cleverly write their way around that it seems kind of lame.
I love that there are so many superhero movies in development, even if they all suck.
Also, I swear, when I saw the heading for the V spoiler, I thought for a split second they were remaking V for Vendetta, perhaps happening in America or something.
"...hiding a secret that threatens the Destiny and her crew." OH FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, REALLY?
I'm guessing: Dr Rush - in a crewman's quarters - with a pistol.
And, despite dropping Flash(In The Pan)Forward from my viewing list, I watched those clips. Show of hands: Does anyone feel the full episode will add anything else?
@Julius Seizure - Gall Bladder Free: My guess is the killer is Franklin (the scientist who puked during exercise). He has a personal grudge against the bald sergeant and hates the military enough to frame Young.
The FlashForward episode will have a "shocking twist" in the last minute. Otherwise the clips are probably the high points of the episode.
@LiC: The preview strongly hinted he is the victim (hour late for duty) and he is disliked by a lot of people on Destiny (including Young). And to be brutally honest, it's Stargate. I don't expect a clever Agatha Christie mystery (but at least a Jessica Fletcher level).
Hiroyuki Sanada has been turning up in a number of U.S. productions in recent years, something I keep hoping his RINGU/RASEN co-star Miki Nakatani would do as I've read that she speaks perfect English.
Given a choice between carrying my iPod out of a burning office building or some of my colleagues, I'd save my iPod. Every time.
The SGU writers must have met some of my workmates, because that element spoke directly to my soul. #sgu
Talk about a filler episode. This was the episode that never happened. They can't do flashbacks or remember whens or anything. I liked the episode but they could have stuck this anywhere in Season 1 and it would have fit. I want to see more of the story arch. When are they going to find a planet with food. It has been months now and they haven't eaten! #sgu
@reddingofish: Really? How do you figure that it's been months? They brought rations that will get them through a week or two depending on how many meals a day they eat. That seems to be about the point they're at right now, which is why they were looking for edible food on the jungle planet. #sgu
Chloe dies? Try Chloe gets gutted from the inside out by a freaking land eel.
And if the entire water supply is contaminated, what are they supposed to do about that?
Oh, and Eli picked Hackers because it's a freaking awesome movie, even if it's completely hokey by today's standards. For tech nerds, it's right up there with Dazed and Confused. #sgu
I enjoyed this episode quite a bit. SGU is very much a Star Gate series, and even though I am a fan of the previous shows, there have been times I wish it was less so. But I have to say that it is fun to watch SGU take some of the sometimes goofy ideas of its predecessors, like the time-traveling solar flair anomaly that gave us some amusing moments of Teal'c in the 1960s, and using them to give us new, interesting, and creepy situations. #sgu
Every episode moves a story ahead even if it's marginal and ambiguous. Relationships between characters is the best way to move a story ahead, like when Eli telling Chloe what he thought of their relationship and not having a best friend until her, that totally changed how I view the dynamic of their interactions. Eli's admission that his mom has AIDS, and Greer taking deaths that never happened so hard. Those little things move a story ahead, and the episode was one of the best. I can't recall if they have ever let a plot thread hang like that and just leave it with no 'to be continued' or anything, and it looked like they were going to move right past it with next weeks preview. I am assuming that when they found Scott's Kino they took care of business andgot the fuck out of there.
On another note I would like to see Young puta few bullets in Telford next week for screwing his wife like that and that's assuming his ex doesn't do it first when she finds out. Unless of course they are actually having an affair. #sgu
I really really liked it. I also like the implications that people emotionally revealing themselves in the alternate reality that will still be revealed to the prime reality due to the Kino recordings. #sgu
@Pessimippopotamus: But the crew will never see those reveals, because the timeline where they say all those things will be erased by the third timeline created when the warning keno gets sent back. All the people who saw those conversations will be dead in an alternate timeline. #sgu
@captainfreshness: Not really. They have a filler clip of where Eli and Scott talk about how they found two kinos with two separate messages; the first one we saw and the one with Scott's warning. Scroll down, someone already posted the video. #sgu
