That's the trouble with living in Australia - not only is our native wildlife totally unthreatening* ("Aaarrrggh! Wombat! Saunter for your life!"), but no giant creature has ever shown an interest in attacking us.
Maybe a Melbourne t-shirt could have a giant huntsman sitting atop Flinders St Station?
*(Well, apart from the deadly poisonous snakes , spiders, jellyfish...)

@therewasadoor: Bunyips over Melbourne! Or just really big versions of the poisonous things you already have. Or a giant platypus. Aren't wombats pretty tough and impervious to stuff? Giant kangaroos squashing the Sydney Opera House?

OK...WTF. A giant crane for Tokyo instead of Godzilla? The Octopus for LA? Is that a reference to the film "It Came From Beneath the Sea"? If so, sorry, that Octo attacked a bit farther north of LA in a small burb called San Francisco. Took out some piffling bridge there called the Golden Gate.

@smegz: San Fran totally needs a monster shirt.
I don't get their choices, either... avoiding copyright problems, I suppose.
LA I'd think either flying saucers or giant ants. Tokyo is Godzilla, or as close as you can get without getting Toho PO'd.

What an awesome idea! But these designs don't do it for me. I want Godzilla crushing Tokyo while tanks shoot at it, a werewolf skulking in a fog shrouded alley in London with an attractive high-heeled leg coming into view around the corner, a city worker in New York being pulled down into a manhole cover by a sewer Alligator. The Phantom of the Opera lurking within site of the Eiffel Tower in Paris...

obviously the correct monster for san francisco should be a large ball of consumer audio video cables that feeds on money and sports stadiums.
