    Ah, I was hoping Ice was an adaptation of a really good disaster porn novel, "The Empire of Ice," in which a volcanic erruption mid-Atlantic diverts the gulf stream from Britain and causes it to to suffer traumatic climate changes like glaciers floating down the English Channel, the water between the UK and Ireland freezing over (and having wolves come running across!) #werewolves

    @Alessar: How good is this novel, because it sounds of awesome and I shall pick it up if it's anything like what you're describing. My only question is wondering whether the those islands HAVE any wolves left.

    Also, I'm hoping that the werewolves as gladiators movie is more of a "Gladiator" with werewolves thing, which would be entirely too fun to watch. #werewolves

    @Althestane: I remember it being an enjoyable read during a hot summer. Pretty much every 40-60 pages some crazy new disaster would take place.

    The wolves were available due to attempts to reintroduce them into some area maybe a small island offshore, something like that.

    There was a sequel but I did not like it nearly as much. Definitely a good fun paperback read. #werewolves

    @Alessar: Looked it up a bit, and sounds fun. It may soon be part of my winter-lineup! I like the idea of a "targeted climate shift", in that it realizes global climate change won't have globally uniform consequences, and some places, like the British Isles, will be more severely affected by certain events/changes. #werewolves

    I need more info on "Gladiators vs Werewolves," I'm not sure I get it.

    Seriously, when I read the title, I thought "why don't the werewolves just turn the gladiators to create a group of super-lycanthropes?" How come the organizers of these games don't see that coming? #werewolves

    Wow. I have no idea where you find this stuff, but it's pretty great just knowing this stuff gets made. I think the Ghost Machine movie has that kid from that MMA movie from last year...looks kind of passable - maybe a SyFy saturday movie? #thetesladevice

    The Telsa Device clip reminds me, I dreamed about time travel last night. Turns out, you go to this lab, you lay down with your face over a blue electric lightwell, and when the well activates, you get pulled down into the time period that you're visiting. I had a good visit to 1922 New York City, though I only paid for the 'mental essence' package, so I was basically just floating around 20s NYC, without the ability to interact with anyone. One of the other travelers on our trip got in big trouble; she had upgraded to the corporal package and so was actually walking around, but she spent a 1934 dollar bill, which was an obvious no-no. The Director and I spent some time discussing whether the Lab should have an ATM on-site that dispenses time-appropriate currency, and if so, how you would price the service.

    The lesson, obviously, is I need to rethink my pre-bedtime red wine intake. #thetesladevice
