    I don't know why people seem to want to dump on that first one. For a kids comic book movie at that time its shockingly good. I mean this was the era of things like "Suburban Commando" and "3 Ninjas".

    @Garrison Dean: And btw I mean that as a comic book movie for kids, I know the original comics are not for kids. The guy married Julie Strain for crying out loud.

    I'd love a new TMNT movie. Then again, I like them enought to buy a ticket to that lame CGI film.

    @snackcake:
    I'd prefer a new movie that picks up where the fifth season of the new TMNT animated series left off, completely ignoring the whole Flash Forward stuff onward.

    well, but, but, I thought the animatronic suits were pretty spiffy. So they'd be put in suits and just have their faces CG'd? I'm wondering if that might make them look a little too fake? Although, with the way they did Benjamin Button I'll probably eat my own words. nom nom nom.

    All this is doing is providing me with greater opportunity to remember that I passed on buying the initial Eastman & Laird B&W the first week it came out.

    WHY MUST I CONTINUE TO BE PUNISHED?

    @Lassus: I know how you feel -- I was about a year late in catching on there. On the upside (if you can call it that) the speculative market isn't what it used to be. Of course, that means my copy of New Mutants #87, once valued at $85, can now be had from a street vendor in Union Square for $6.
