40 Worst Rob Liefeld Drawings
[progressiveboink.com]
I'd seen his art before, but never knew who did it. This article forced the 90s to make a lot more sense to me. And it's hilarious.

That was so many kinds of awesome. Thank you.

Nah, all the better to pummel Liefeld soundly about the head with.

Ye...wait, no, I forgot. I don't own a fireplace.

Lefeild used to draw for X-Force, which I have a bunch of too, and it's true his art was crazed and way over the top, but there was something fun about it. All his heroes had 35% too many muscles, 150% too many pouches and bullets attached to their bodies, about 110% too much boob, and were always drawn in this crazy perspective where their bodies would fade into toothpicks.
But the one thing you can say is that you always, always knew exactly who was drawing the comics. Which is something.

Yeah...I could tell you when Mike McMahon provided the "art" for a comic book, and I can tell you just as surely that it's not really a good thing. The reason why you can tell with certainty that it's a specific artist is because _NOONE_WANTS_TO_IMITATE_HIM_.
