What I wouldn't do for wallpaper sized versions of these... I found the city to be breathtaking while playing the game just wish there were more high def images of things like this
These are cool, but I'd really like to see some interior shots, too.
I'm interested to see where this franchise goes, but I hope they improve the gameplay a bit. Bioshock was top notch with story and design, but the gameplay got a little repetitive.
@tipsymongoose: you know, I never understood it when people say "the gameplay got a little repetitive". you're playing a game with a story. Were you expecting to shoot things then go race around in a hovercar and then paint a picture and dash your wizard's staff with some magic spell? yeah i guess you're right....
@acrobatic rabbit: By "repetitive" I meant I could replay the same level over and over and still get the same experience as playing the game all the way through. I'll admit most shooters are this way, though, with a few rare exceptions.
And oh God, the first Assassin's Creed was *awfully* repetitive. Gorgeous game, great setting, neat mechanics... and then you realized it was just "Dragon's Lair", repeated ad infinitum.
The level of world building for both these games is what sucked me in, the richness of detail... I love the Art Deco , totally out of it's normal environment. Can't wait for the game...
"...pitched the Cloud to the city of London for the 2012 Games."
Are they saying it could be ready in time for the 2012 games? If so that's pretty impressive to go from planning to full completion in 2 years. Although if it was designed as a modular system that would speed up construction. #thecloud
@EdificeComplex: Some one said there was something wrong with the hashtags. If you click on the link of any of your posts to it, you will get to it. #thecloud
Awesome!! I must now get another job so that when Mr Tax man stings me for every penny I own...at least its getting spent on something awesome!! I hope it rocks as much as the Millenium Dome...scoff scoff!!!!! #thecloud
@Fatty Shcock: I'm also getting sick of the dome city concept. The amount of raw materials, plus the concept of structural support, seems to be lacking.
Also, hurricanes are hundreds of miles across. Even if you could build such a structure, wouldn't a strong hurricane just rip this thing right off the city like a bottlecap? #speculativearchitecture
@Chip Skylark of Space: I've been working on a new strain of anti-agathics, so we should be good to go when this thing gets built. I'm saving them for the New York crew tho.

1. The buildings are shockingly out of perspective.
2. I am tired of the "Gotham City" look. And I love Art Deco.

Can't wait to get this game.

That seems sort of okay when they're going up the ramp, but a disaster on the way back down...

I eagerly await the construction of this tempting target. #thecloud

Or, they could use one of the many craters on Earth as a mold itself, and hoist it out with helicopters (like the Simpsons!). #speculativearchitecture
