    The movie industry will see one big hit sci-fi movie with real science, then suddenly that's all we'll see for a while. The pendulum is always swinging.


    Then there'll be some big hit involving Tom Hanks' son in a romantic comedy. Suddenly we'll see a sequel to Joe And The Volcano, which is win/win in my book.

    @Rainbucket: On the plus side they won't have to so much because every grenade or exploding car won't destroy an entire city block while inexplicably leaving the flimsy table/hot dog stand/hedge the hero is hiding behind untouched.

    I heard that while they were filming Outbreak, Morgan Freeman got annoyed with Hoffman for constantly calling him up about interesting articles or factoids he found while researching for their rolls as military biologists.
