The news of Khan maybe in the 2nd new Trek makes me want to vomit.Whatever happened to Trek having no remakes/alternate remakes and to the Trek that made social comments.

Except in the alternate universe, Khan was already rescued and owns a salon in Queens called "Botany Bay Hair Stylings."

"Then I told Joachim my feelings for him and we opened this store. It's just lucky we're still not out there in space. Who knows what could have happened?"

Not good news on V. You can't keep up that kind of pace. The best shows build up to something big, then take a step back to let you catch your breath. Trying to be all excitement all the time lessens the impact and doesn't give the audience time to assimilate and appreciate big events.

So, they are creating a Darth Vader II. Makes sense, Abrams secretly did not want to make Star Trek. He wanted to make Star Wars. Why else were there be so many Star Wars nods in a Star Trek film. I mean, a R2-D2 cameo? Really, Abrams?

I am going to miss Supernatural immensely when it's done, but I don't think Dean will let Michael in unless they can't find God, which I think they will.

Whatever ends up happening will be awesome. and I do want to see what it looks like when Michael enters a room because Raphael's entrance was frickin' sweet.

I think they should misspell the Star Trek 2's Khan as Khaanne since it's going to be nothing like the original anyway, per usual. As long as he's frakking over characterization, why doesn't JJ be honest and do away with proper name spellings as well? Khirkhe, Yuhoora, Zschgotty, Sppokh...why do these sound like Futurama spoof names?

Those Dollhouse caps kick ass. I loves that show! ((((squishes)))))

I am not a Star Trek fan by any means, but to do another Kahn film would be ridiculous as there is no point in doing what is essentially a do over of a very respected film. The new Star Trek was awesome and JJ needs to build his own universe without rehashing old stories.

@Makidian: Well, if Khan shows up they wouldn't be redoing Star Trek 2, they'd be redoing the original series episode "Space Seed" in which they first find Khan and he ends up on Ceti Alpha 5.

@matthewabel: And I didn't know that because I am not a Star Trek fan which is kind of strange since I love scifi so much. I just never got into it, I liked TNG but I was never really exposed to the original series, and the only episode I recall watching all the way through was the Trouble with Tribbles episode.

Well, Khan *is* there floating in space somewhere, in the Botany Bay.

There are 3 choices, then, for Abrams: 1) ignore it, ie, Khan is never found; 2) he's found, but the story goes differently than what we already know from old episode and movie; 3) he's found, and Abrams rehashes the old story, with only minor changes.

All 3 options are likely to upset die-hard fans. Not that that's all-important, but it is a consideration for the franchise.

Personally, I'd hate choice 3, and could live with 2 if it's done right, with a strong story. To be on the safe side and not be totally disappointed, I'd be ok with 1.

But Khan is too much of a temptation, too much of a good thing, not to go for, and they know it, so I doubt that 1 is what Abrams is going to go with.

@ManchuCandidate: Big ditto. As I often say, there are plenty of stories in the original cannon JJ can cannibalize if he's desperate for material.

Maybe they should take some ideas from the episode the Menagerie, just so we can include Pike in some capacity and laugh at him as he rolls around in his wheelchair, beeping.

@mazigazi: lol, maybe but I don't know the show(s) well enough to call myself a fan. I definitely liked the new movie but I find it hard to watch the original series, or any older scifi series because I am a glutton for shiny CG and the grainy nature makes my eyes hurt. I desperately want to get into old Dr. Who but it's just so hard to watch. As they come out remastered in HD I will definitely start to catch up but until then I will be in the dark wishing I was a part of the Star Trek group.

Yeah that Doctor Who animation is awful. Its like someone tried to animate it in the style of Thunderbirds, but even Thunderbirds was better than that. Compare it to Clone Wars... and well. Sheesh. #startrek
