Why does Ten Forward look so small in that Nemesis clip? I realize that the Enterprise E was smaller in terms of crew compliment than D, but that looked no bigger than the retrofitted galley on Voyager.

Did they put some of those generation scenes back in a later release?

I swore I've seen Kirk skydiving in context. Maybe it was the comic adaptation. Why did I have the comic adaptation?

I love the T3 clip. It's the best part of that movie, despite not actually being in the movie.

Leia and Solo making out was pretty much the only actual sexual expression out of the entire Star Wars Saga (the green slave girl's boob and Leia slave girl outfit doesn't count.) Might have done Lucas a world of good if he added some sex to Star Wars. No wonder they needed clones.

As for Sgt William Candy, I'm glad they cut it. That was pretty stupid especially when Candy sounds like what one would consider the stereotype of a Southern fried idiot.

Some of those are awesome!!! The Terminator one ive seen before. What a crazy ass clip.

Now I know I might turn a few people here....but Watchmen was amazing. I personally cant wait for the super-duper extended edition. This scene was left out and I think its absolutly beautiful and tragic all in the same go!!!

I checked out the Devastator story at Sams Club yesterday, I found it to be cheap and hokey, as well as ridiculously overpriced. Bought my nephew this badass Nerf Gattling gun instead.

Looking at that Devastator reminds me that I saw an ad for Transformers Toys the other day and at the end the V.O. guy quickly said "Actual changing times may vary."

So sad. In my day you either understood they were only that fast in the cartoons and commercials or you broke your toys trying. You would never whine about it though.

It was actually a 15 minute story but Shatner's and West's pauses inflated it to an hour.

Okay, this is going to be unpopular, but Firefly was not that great. Don't get me wrong - it was an awesome show, great premise, witty banter, and great actors - but a lot of the stories were weak (Heart of Gold? The Train Job? The Message?). Given a second season, the show probably would have better found its legs, but I don't understand when people hold it up as the end-all, be-all of modern science fiction. And I say this from a place of love, as someone who's Firefly and Serenity DVDs have a place of prominence in my collection.

As much as Battlestar shat the bed at the end, there was enough awesome to make up for it. I wouldn't trade Roslin, I wouldn't trade Starbuck, I wouldn't trade Donna Noble or Rose Tyler or the Doctor, I wouldn't trade the Planet Express crew. Hell, given the awesome that was Children of Earth, I probably would think twice before trading in the Torchwood team. I would love it if Firefly came back, but to suggest that it was better than all of the shows that we've had in the past seven years seems overreaching, to say the least.

    @vulcanized: No argument here.

Firefly was the adventures of Han Solo in the Cowboy Bebop universe.

Entertaining? Yeah, for about 8 of 13 shows.

Original? Earth-shaking? Genre-defining? Worthy of unflagging devotion by legions of obsessives?

    Umm... no.

@Matthew Weflen: I don't think anyone is saying it was any of those things. It wasn't superbly written, it wasn't extraordinarily deep, or symbolic, or grounbreaking or whatever. It was just beautiful and charming, and heartwarming and fun and made you want to be around it. And that cute little thing it does with its nose when it smiles ? I just want to be near it.

    Seriously though, I do.
