    I wonder if the movie in question isn't a new Star Wars movie but simply a new George Lucas movie such as the long awaited WW II/Tuskegee Airmen movie Red Tails. Supposedly, Lucas has been gearing up for production on this project, including talks with Samuel L. Jackson.

    @Aidan_: Agreed. Wait for Lucas to die and then remake the prequel trilogy as they should have been made in the first place. Or film the Thrawn trilogy.

    I'll have to say that isnt exactly fair considering that Star Trek has gotten way more screen time and is currently having new life breathed into it.

    Lucas just need to let someone else write.. or I guess he can just die and let someone else take over like every one else said.

    Something tells me though this Dolby guy took what he was told completely out of context. He probably wasn't even listening at the time.

    @BoomingEchoes: Naw, it's fair: I'm pretty sick of Star Trek, too. The reboot was completely unnecessary.

    So, is the Clone Wars animated series any good? I've basically been ignoring all-things-Star-Wars since the Phantom Menace and have no idea as to its quality.

    @atrus123: It is good.

    Its a 30 min TV series aimed mostly at children so its hit or miss sometimes but generally I think its pretty damn decent.

    They do quite a few write ups on here for the better ones.

    After the three "prequel" movies. I really have lost all faith that Lucas can pull off a new movie or T.V. show. I think the Clone Wars are just an aberation and I will be waiting for that new T.V. show to really blow my socks off before I will start watching regularly. I do not have my hopes up though.

    @Im_your_Huckleberry: The Clone Wars just proved what had been becoming increasingly apparent; Lucas should provide ideas and direction for Star Wars but not directly write or direct because he doesn't love doing these things. He loves to edit, let him edit. And let people who love the writing and direction do what they love. That's what's making the Clone Wars truly rock.

    @TwiceDead: Yeah, but Lucas always has the final say in everything and just wait if the Clone Wars keep going and Lucas starts to rein them in because of conflict with future movies or this future T.V. show? I can see him ruing it. Past examples are on my side and there are too many to list from old T.V. specials to old Lucasarts games, etc.

    @Hamslicer: I'd take that. I'd love seeing a Clone Wars CG animated take on the original trilogy. If they can make me actually like the prequel material with that show just think how cool an animated series about the movies I liked would be?
