In reply to What Happens When ABC Runs Out Of V?
I watched, it was horrible. It was like they tried to compress a season's worth of shocking revelations into 47 minutes. The Vs are reptiles! The FBI agent's partner is a V! The Black Guy is a V! (but he's a good V!) The FBI Agent's son is going to forge his mom's signature!

Any one of the above revelations would have been good if they had been paced well, like each in the last two minutes of a separate episode, you know, like Lost does. Instead they are all crammed into the first episode. The Vs walk into the UN, and the next scene it's three weeks later? #v

Your editing suggestions make me think you've gotten some ideas from Jack Donaghy and his success with Seinfield vision.

    Have A Reunion Show

Why wait 20 years for a cast reunion? Bring together the cast to reminiscence about the first four episodes. That should waste an hour. #v

I think they're pretty doomed. They should have just held off the premiere until February when Lost will probably be dullsville anyway. #v

Am I weird in that I have never seen an episode of Lost? I feel like I am missing out on something. If the main lady from V is a big character on Lost, I can see myself watching, because she is quite attractive (and a good actress).

@cylon_conspiracy: I missed that whole train myself and once I missed the first season I felt I didn't have the time needed to start the whole thing from the beginning, which seems required. #v

@cylon_conspiracy: I've never seen an episode of Lost either (ok, I half saw one one time, but I don't count that) and while I have heard people say good things about, I never had the time to pick it up, as I didn't hear big things about it until around the end of the second season. Now the same went for BSG, by the time it hit my radar as being good, it was almost done (I have since updated my radar), so I figured I'd wait until it's done and then streamline the whole thing. But when it did end, I heard the end absolutely sucked and made no sense, so I decided "Damn, no point it watching it if it doesn't have a solid ending". And so I've since decided that given Lost's twists and turns and the fact that nobody knows what's going to happen and that it's almost done, I'm just going to wait for the end, gauge everybody's reaction, and go from there.

@comics0026: I think I might do the same.

Interestingly I had ZERO interest in BSG until its second season. I thought they were messing with one of the shows I loved from childhood and I didn't like the idea of making a show like that "modern times", I thought they were just using the name but disrespecting the original.

But one day for the hell of it I tuned into one of the marathons they were showing on sci-fi and from there, I decided to start watching from scratch.

But BSG was only four seasons and a short miniseries. LOST is just this huge behemoth. #v

ABC should acquire the rights to the BBC's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy TV series. They should then tack the first episode of that series onto V. They can record new dialogue with the Vogon leader berating the "Vees" for trying to conquer a planet scheduled for demolition. It could include two new Hitchhiker's Guide entries:

ABC Executives: ABC Executives are slimy empty suits who seem to always manage to muck up even golden opportunities and will be the first with their butts against the wall when the revolution comes.

Visitors: Visitors are a loathsome race of space lizards, stupidly conquering planets through needlessly complicated schemes rather than the direct approach of blowing stuff up real good with their obviously superior technology. They are used as ham-handed stand ins for whatever American TV writers currently hate about their country.

If they can't show V again until March, they could resurrect Defying Gravity, though the sets have been dismantled already. The last few episodes are actually quite good, and they haven't been shown in the US yet, so ABC might show them. #v

Omg, if Alan Tudyk was on Lost, I would completely forgive JJ for the past 3 years. In WRITING. Hell, I might make him a video thank-you card.

Do they literally not have any episodes ready to put on the air after the fourth episode? They can't just put up an additional episode or two ahead of schedule?

Also, does anyone know if they are going to hurry up and get rid of references to "aliens", shots of ginormous space ships, and other sci-fi trappings they told us audiences hated in prime time, in order to keep momentum going?

I mean, they got a hit on their hands, they need to do some serious corrective CG surgery to remove all the elements that will alienate future viewers who want to see what all the buzz is about.

The faith they have in the sci-fi audience is truly heart warming.

Not a monster per se, but I think Coyote, the trickster god of many Amerindian tales would make an interesting villain. He'd basically be an Amerindian version of the Joker but with a perverse sense of justice. #moviemonsters

    @NerD: Blattella:

    Me too..

Or the similar idea I had reading this about the secretary's and hired help the Justice League obviously needs to make the day to day happenings happen but keeps behind the scenes.

"Yes.. yes mayor, I understand you want to talk to wonder woman about the guy she through your office.. Yes sir, I understand your city doesn't have superhero insurance.. Sir, I believe your insinuating that since your a man that she committed a hate crime against your office.."

    That'd be gold too. #batman
