I LOL'd repeatedly. Graeme, you are a genius. This is why you make the big bucks.

Has anyone else notice that 15-17 are the list twice? There's 28 names on here!

@geesejuggler: Wow. I wish I'd noticed that when writing it out, I could've saved myself the trouble of typing three names up.

But now they can't do that slightly amusing/clever trick of making "IF" stand out of "ScIFi." I always kind of liked that.

    My vote is for #3.

What about ΨΦ? You know, the Greek letters Psi and Phi? I think it would be cool, but no one would get it and they would have to change their programming for the name to make sense... Whatever, it's still better than SyFy...

I wish they'd gone with something like "Space", though that is of course owned currently by heathen outlanders. But some word that embodies free thought and scope; if they're going to ditch Sci Fi, they might as well be honest about it.

A friend who works in LA assures me that all network execs are trapped in a permanent high school state of mind, so of course they'd want to sidle away from those pimply convention-goers ASAP and hang with the cool kids. Sigh. Syfy: Sucks Bigger.
