    For me, it means hearing about the incredibly awesome time my friend has almost every year hanging out with Paul Dini and his wife (who is basically the real life Zantana)

    And then feeling really bad because once again I didn't have the money/time/forethought to buy a ticket.

    Why does "sleep with volunteer badge checker" lead directly to "Hang out with Joss Whedon"? Seems like a good deal depending on what the badge checker looks like.

    @David Alvaro: There's stuff about comic book movies, and one panel that says "Why does anyone care about Green Lantern?". Huh, I guess Comic-Con isn't about comics anymore.

    @Bongoes: According to the organizers, Comic-Con has always been about more than comics. But I think the shift to movies/TV happened in the 1990s. I wrote a post about Comic-Con history yesterday where I talk about that.
