I'm probably going to go nuts for this, but I would really love it if somebody brought back DYNAMAN from Nite Flite on Friday nights back in the 80's.

With the ratio of crap-to-good that comes from Robot Chicken, you truly can't expect anything less because you can only go up from here.

@KatherineDust Mite: Robot Chicken reminds me of Mystery Science Theater 3000 in that the density of jokes is so high that they can't all be gems, but there are still enough good ones to make the overall experience funny as heck.

@The Curse of Millhaven: Agreed. That's how I describe it to my friends, too. With an episode only lasting fifteen minutes, even one good sketch can make up for some of the far lamer ones, that are probably someone else's cup of tea. Watching a series in a row, you're bound to find some sketches you absolutley love, too.
MST3K had two hours to deliver the funny in an episode, so even if one joke missed the mark, there were plenty more to laugh at. The worse the movie, the better the jokes, too.

I'm so excited about this! The book is amazing - I bought it for my cousin's birthday - she's 9 and ended up getting a copy for myself I liked it so much.

I saw Nightmare Before Christmas when I was 6 or 7 and have loved it ever since. And I love that this isn't computer animated - it makes me ALMOST as happy as Disney's new hand-animated film....

Neil Gaiman said in an interview that children are usually just fine with make-believe stories, it's adults that get the nightmares.

@indiie: As someone who slept with a night-light until he was 13, but now has blacked out every window in his apartment and even puts his wallet over his digital alarm clock because he can't stand the glow comeing from it, all in the name of trying to get it pitch dark when he sleeps, I can say I must thoroughly disagree with Mr. Gaiman. :)

That being said, I read this book to my girlfriend over a few Sunday evenings when we first started dating, and we are totally stoked to see it tonight at the local IMAX! It has a special feel for me, because it's like my woman and I's special story. :D

Hmm, haven't seen it yet (taking the fam tomorrow early evening)but 5 might be a little young, depending on the 5.

Take earplugs for the kiddo...the theaters really crank up the decimals.

And yeah, if "Monster House" hadn't been in CG, but a real action, it would have been a solid "R".

I'm reading my youngest "The Thief of Always" by Clive Barker, which would have scared me silly at 8.

    YMMV
