Missed Connections: Me - parasite-infected F with blonde hair, You - cockroach-headed M subway driver. You couldn't take your eyes of me but my pupae hatched out of my face before we could swap numbers. F-train, Manhattan-bound 9am
Great stuff. 11 and 15 are the most disturbing to me, since the scale of those headlight-bedecked worms in relation to the tunnels makes it look biological, like a tapeworm nestled in your intestine. Ew.
product placement is a need, when you thake into account that a lot of this shows gets watched later without the advertismnet breaks, so it makes sense to put the adds inside the show.
they make these shows to win money and people have to accept that to have their show they need to have the adds.
@Murph1908: I'm pretty sure nobody on Chuck makes that much money. You have to be on a seriously high-rated show, like top 10, to pull in that many bucks.
My guess? They will replace the current CIA secret base from under the Orange Orange store with a Subway shop.
Every time they enter [or have serious plot points]they will have a long sweeping shot of the subway sign and montages of baking bread and cutting crisp fresh veggies. Oh and of course every single sub made [there must be one each episode]will have heaping mounds of toppings and meat that you will never see in reality.
@Dormouse: Corporate Tool: Sarah is indeed the obvious choice. Easiest to explain too (although tapping Morgan would make sense too. Since part of their renewal is fewer episodes at lower cost with the probable cutting of a character and writers having Morgan also elsewhere would mean another permanent set. As to the uniforms . . . one. Sarah would look hot in an Amish outfit and two. she would likely customize her uniform for formfitting goodness.
@haseoreo: Or the mother of horrible product placement, the episode of Eureka that involved degree antiperspirant saving the day. I am all for companies stepping in and saving my favorite shows, but seriously, don't make it such a crappy fit. It doesn't have to be a part of the story line!
See, now I'm torn. On the one hand, I want the show to have a good long run. On the other hand, I would eat at Subway every day for the rest of my life if Yvonne ended up getting a job there.

How much do the stars make per episode? $350K? $500K?
Instead of searching for new revenue streams that whore out the show, they should first lower costs.
$350K a SEASON would be a fantastic salary. There's a lot of (talented) waitresses and bartenders in Hollywood that would work for that price.

I won't mind that -- sometimes I get taken out of a story when they use a fake store. The mall has a Subway, no problem.

I would like to to see who they do the product placement though. They can occasionally be really funny.

I agree that the product placement on Chuck is pretty funny. At least they know it's a joke, unlike oh, say, Alias.
