Sigh. I miss REAL half-assed network sci-fi, like "Automan" and "Doing Time On Planet Earth," staring one coked-out Martin Kove. Yessir, those were good times.

@SybaRat: As a Tron lover I likes Automan just for the effects. I was pretty young, though. Plus I am proud never to have liked "Manamal."

@The Curse of Millhaven: Manimal ugh, that was a real stinker! Remember how they blew like 15 minutes of each episode on those same 3 "transformation" scenes? I remember shouting at the TV, "Hey! If his hands turn in to the hawk's talons (which is already a big pile of stupid) where are the wings coming from?"

That show made Knight Rider look like Brideshead Revisited.

That's one of the most cliched and stupidest pitches for a movie that I've ever heard. "Banding together"? "International astronauts and soldiers"? Since when did we have a planetary space program? As well as an Earth military as opposed to each nation having its own- ah fuck it, they're fighting the goddamn MOON. Forget it.
