Alaska, pigs and clothes are all Palin references. The really unrealistic part is Obama picking up flags instead of throwing them away by the thousands as he did after he descended to his temple for anointment in Denver. Although, for the purposes of the game, it might be better if he just jumps on and tramples the American Flag at every opportunity. Bonus points for wiping the lipstick off the pigs.

@GreyHammer: I think it's a reference to "pork" politics, which Palin hypocritically condemned in many speeches. I think a bunch of disembodies ears running around would have been even more confusing.

As to the commiecentricity, there is actually a level in the game kin to the Star World in Super Mario World, but it's called the Crescent World instead. You have to nationalize the means of production in forty states before you can get to it.
