I'm not Fringe watcher (yet. Just got the season 1 rundown from my boss and I'm very intrigued). But are those gents in fedoras meant to evoke the Men in Black of urban folklore/UFOlogy? #spiderman4
@TheGreat&PowerfulTurtle: Pretty much, yeah. 'The Arrival', the fourth episode of the series and the final two are pretty essential viewing for The Observer. That being said, have a nose around fringepedia and you'll get an idea of the very interesting thing they're doing with him/it/them. #spiderman4
Regarding "Supernatural": I've got to say, I love how Mark Pellegrino has portrayed Lucifer so far, and look forward to seeing how he handles the character as he evolves throughout the storyline.
Also, the fact that the vessel body came from my home state of Delaware makes me strangely proud for some reason (not to mention slightly aroused... jk, or am I?). It's gonna drive me insane waiting for the new year and new episodes after this week's upcoming. #spiderman4
@schrodingers-katana: The problem I've been having with Supernatural is the mind-numbing lethargy getting to the pay-off.
Stretching the promised epic-ness is one thing.... bullshitting and stalling their way through even 1/4ths of the final season is outright jackassery. I'm getting precisely the same vibe from this final season that I got from BSG.
@TheGreat&PowerfulTurtle: Well, guess we'll see what's in store this week with Crowley. I'm more irritated by the waiting til Jan for new episodes thing myself. #spiderman4
@Chuck: I'll raise you a can of beets, but only because I want closer...I'm a slave to the bad and I just want it to end well. For old times sake. #spiderman4
i saw on a celeb message board screencaps of ali and hayden both in bra and panties. hayden helps ali get into a bathtub, downblouse of hayden and wet ali... still not going to watch heroes #spiderman4
@Srynerson: Reeeeeaaaaalllllyyy? My wife still watches this. Maybe I can feign interest when she watches the PVR, as I did during "The Kiss". #spiderman4
@omnibus_spiritus: But only Tracy was in her panties and a tank top, Claire was in shorts and a shirt, and it was nothing to get excited over (unfortunately)
That's not a photo of Shanks, and not an accurate drawing either - read the interview and it's pretty clear the costume is not the same. Fail, TVGuide, fail. #spiderman4
mmm. . . Michael Shanks can be a figment of my imagination any day.
And I'm disappointed - I was hoping for a Shanks-filled trailer. The same thing happened in the trailer for the Smallville episode he's going to be in. I'm being lured into watching them with the promise of Shanks, only to be let down.
I loved Returns, it was pure fun, tied in nicely to the first two films, and has easily the best lex displayed on screen.
Also, it made just as much sense as any of the other movies. #supermanreturnsthebryansingerc...
It's the only Superman movie I own. And I'm a huge Superman nerd! I regret that there won't be a sequel.
Also, Lois wasn't married to Richard - they were engaged.
And the "stalking" ting that everyone keeps referring to? Really? Do you expect Superman to call you up on your cell phone or write on your Facebook wall? It's part of his schtick to fly around popping onto balconies and knocking on windows. He did it in the Donner films, too. #supermanreturnsthebryansingerc...
@Soupytwist: You didn't squirm at the fact that Lois knows that the kid is Superman's (or at least guessed it) but doesn't remember it? #supermanreturnsthebryansingerc...
@Wookie1972: I think the pregnancy was a VERY poorly developed plotpoint - but I did not assume that Lane had no memory of how it came to be . To the best of my recollection, the film does not definitively take the stance that Lane does not remember having sex with Superman/Kent.
Personally, I assumed that she was fully aware that fatherhood was between Supes and Richard, and as the years passed (and the child was a sickly, allergic, mess with no signs of superpowers) that she convinced herself Richard was the father.
It is also possible the complications of a hybrid baby affected her pregnancy/gestation in such a way as to throw off the calender count from when she thought she conceived. If she rebounded into a relationship with Richard soon after Superman left, this is entirely plausible.
Don't get me wrong, I thought the child storyline was the worst thing about the movie by far. But I just thought it was a Very Bad Idea, not evidence that Supes was a stalker of some sort.
@Jacks Bloated Payroll: I didn't realize that Singer wrote and directed Superman II.
I.E., not not Singer's canon. You're hastily a-slapping together straw men that you then mightily huff-a-puff over. #supermanreturnsthebryansingerc...
@mother_ship: A nicely cohesive, well-thought scenario.
Although, I liked the inclusion of Superbaby. Were it not for him, Kal El wouldn't have been able to make the (pen)ultimate sacrifice to his adapted planet.
And, there had to have been ambiguity regarding his parentage and birth. There's no way Kal would have left Earth had either Lois or Kal known she was pregnant. The way the boy's parentage unfurled in the film mirrored for us the same confusion there was in his parents' (and Lex's) minds. #supermanreturnsthebryansingerc...
i'm for it. i loved this movie. my only problem was with the kryptonite island. what about all the chunks falling off into the water as he awesomly lifted it into space? wont they re-seed and grow new islands?? but really, i never understood why all the hate for the flick. i really don't.
besides, it's not like we will be seeing a new superman movie any time soon... #supermanreturnsthebryansingerc...

As for Spidey 4. This sounds very bad if it is Spidey's kid and makes me yearn for a return to Spidey 3's 3, 5, 15 or so villains. #spiderman4
