@Bootknife-Jackson: I forgot to mention this in the piece, but they actually released some Zardoz inspired designs a few years back. Totally blew my head.
Really? No lastexittonowhere.com ? I'm pretty sure you've mentioned them before. T-shirts with everything from the ships in the Alien-films to Miskatonic Medical Department to Tyrell Corporation. Well worth the price, the quality is exquisite!
@soupcrusher: Agreed, and so is Club Obi-Wan, but all in all Last Exit is better. I have Polymer Records, USSC Nostromo, Tyrell Corp. and Nexus-6 (yeah, guess what my favourite movie is...). The reason why I don't have their entire catalogue of shirts is a purely financial one...
No team Edward James Olmos t-shirt from yesterday's post?
And as cool as those AbbeyShot replicas are (esp. the browncoat and max mad jacket), it's more than just a little pricey, but if I was independently wealthy, would be totally worth it.
You know, I wouldn't even necessarily have to be that rich. I'd be ok with dependently wealthy.
@TemporalSword: They are expensive, but actually the last time I bought a really good trenchcoat about 5 years ago it was about the same price. Since I need a new trenchcoat this year, I am seriously contemplating this one!
@Annalee Newitz: The last time I priced a Burberry trench coat (maybe five years ago) they were around $700 in your basic black (of course). That's at the high end[*], but it places things in perspective. For an honest to ghod decent winter coat, this isn't a bad price. (It was 5F this AM in Denver, so a warm coat suddenly sounds like a pretty good thing to have.)
[*] Or at the middle end if you read magazines like ESQUIRE. Which is why I'm unlikely[**] to ever buy anything I see advertised in ESQUIRE.

[**] As it turns out, not impossible, though.
