Best show on TV for me. Basically, everything from the last 4 seasons have led up for Lucifer's arrival on Earth. And now we see what happens. Should be very interesting. Sam is still probably torn with guilt that he allowed this to happen. Dean is pissed at him still but still feels like he has a responsibility to try and stop Lucifer. Can't wait to see it all pans out. Let's not forget Chuck the Prophet, Castiel, Bobby, and the return of Ellen and Jo Harvelle from Season 2. Maybe Jeffery Dean Morgan (John Winchester) will come back. I can't wait for 09/10!
WOW. I'm honestly not sure what freaks me out more, the fact that at one point Dean's on what appeared to be a plane or the look on his face as he sees something out of the window.
Having only watched the first two episodes of this series, I have to ask: Is it really as interesting/exciting as the trailers portray or is this a case of the CW cutting together amazing trailers for mediocre to poor shows a la Smallville?
@billypilgrim: When this show first came on, I didn't really watch it since I figured a show with two guys that hot in it couldn't be any good. But I started watching season 4 when there was nothing else on and it is leaps and bounds better than it first began. I also like that this is one of the few shows of this kind that God's plan and angels are actually involved with demon fighting. Now I'm not a religious person but I found that approach was a great idea. I'm looking forward to Sept. 10th.
@billypilgrim: It's an awesome show. Sure, it's full of cheese sometimes, but it KNOWS it's full of cheese. Smallville is horrible. I can't believe they're on for another season. D:
@taffy: I think I'll give ssn 4 a go, then. I need something to replace Life, Dirty Sexy Money and/or Life on Mars (US). Perhaps this will be the ticket?
@billypilgrim: It definitely got better as it went along. Season 1 was alright, 2 better, 3 excellent, 4 awesome... so 5 should be superb. Or something like that.
@Log1c: Hmm lots of good vibes coming from ths show. Maybe ive been to quick to dismiss it. I mean after all..season 1 seems to be its weakest season from the general talk here. Ive never been drawn to shows tha use pretty boys to sell its products, it all seems to turn into a colours of Beneton commercial. Its happened with Smallville and the Twilight films and I thought this had done the same. Style over substance. That said...i might go back to the drawing board with this and do some serious catch-up on my wifes DVD collection. Give it the attention everyone is saying it deseres. I'll let you know how I really feel about it in a few weeks!!

@billypilgrim: It plays the 'monster of the week' chord far too much for my liking in the first season. But slowly, with each season, they ratchet up the bigger plot, with the story of the Winchesters caught in the middle.
@TheGreat&PowerfulTurtle: Well, tee vee is SUPPOSED to be episodic. The idea of following a larger plot is nice, but you should be able to tune in. Supernatural does that well. The monster-of-the-weeks alternate between action-y and funny. It's nice. It's like watching DS9, which IMO is the only other show that successfully combined episodic with overarching plot. (and yeah B5 bla bla blah. Don't even...).
With the glasses, the 3D effect is noticable, but not terribly obtrusive (except the paddleball, which is clearly meant to make you notice the 3D-ness of it all).
Without the glasses, it actually is a lot less eyeball-pretzelling than red/cyan anaglyph (well, except the paddleball scene). It sorta reminds me of reading Sunday newspaper comics when the color plates were misaligned.
