    The problem with Fringe and FlashForward of late is not because they are on Thursday. No, it's that the focus is gone. We had Olivia come back from a parallel universe and had Charlie murdered by cyborg soldiers that seem to be everywhere. And what does Fringe do? They give us standalone episodes that have nothing to do with the main plot or they barely hint at the main plot. Stop it. We already had X-Files. It was fun. But this generation of sci-fi watchers has been binging on a steady diet of serialized sci-fi shows. I don't think you can do an episodic adult sci-fi show anymore. No one wants them. Focus on the oncoming war, Olivia, Walter and Peter's hidden past and the Observers. That's why most people watch Fringe. Otherwise, again, people can always watch X-Files repeats.

    The same thing is happening with FlashForward. Even though it is more serialized than Fringe at the moment, it doesn't feel like a sci-fi show with a point. It's mostly an FBI show/relationship drama with some weird elements thrown in to make it sci-fi. But those elements are borderline. The show is dragging its feet when it comes to the sci-fi elements. I can see why. It doesn't want to be a sci-fi show. A sci-fi show is too niche. FlashForward wants to be all things to all people. But it in its haste, it is none to anyone. The FBI elements are slow and pointless. The relationship plots are cliche. And the characters are under developed.

    These two shows need to an overhaul or else I don't see them making to another season. #fringe

    The problem with Thursday's is that it is simply too packed with programming.

    As for SMALLVILLE, it really is getting better with every subsequent episode. This past week's was probably the best since the LAST time they killed off Clark's dad... #fringe

    I like how they took what seemed like a one-off 'funny episode' and actually folded it into the greater plot. It's easy for people to believe the trickster-as-archangel premise was a flimsy retcon, but having plotted out shows from beginning to end, I can easily believe this has been intended for some time. Or maybe not, but it was effective at tying up loose ends with the trickster #supernatural

    @schrodingers-katana: Well, it does finally give credence to why he never died in the first episode we met him. Why it didn't take.

    And even if it IS a retcon that they didn't plan (perhaps it fell into place after realizing how much fun mixed with crazy that actor brings to the role and his chemistry and what not) than it's one I'm okay with because it doesn't contradict anything nor does it seemed wedged in. In fact it fits in perfectly fine. #supernatural

    I loved it except for "the Trickster is an Angel bit." That felt like a cop out. Yet I did like the character Gabriel and the whole sit up of the episode. #supernatural

    Yet another episode that got me lulled into the idea that it was a one-off, and then took a darker story-arc turn.

    I like that this show still surprises me after this many episodes. #supernatural

    Yes they should let Astrid out into the field once in a while would be nice.she is smart and is a great sidekick.
    I loved the effect in this show.The shadow effect and the death effect was great.People dissolved to ash.
    Was like a creepy b-movie. #fringe

    I've watched SPN from the beginning and have absolutely loved the show. I still do. This episode shows what they are great at, making you think its just an easy, throw away joke episode when really they're throwing down meta on the apocalypse.

    I kept falling off my chair during this episode and I am completely looking forward to next weeks--

    SPOILERS!

    in which they apparently end up at a "Supernatural" convention. Obviously there are the regular jokes about conventions shown in the promos and such which made me giggle and look forward to it.

    But what is really beginning to annoy me are the fans who are whinging about Kripke making fun of them through these episodes. Really? This coming from the man who axed a few characters because they were not well received by the fandom. I think certain parts of this fandom need to relax and take a deep breath and just chill out. #supernatural

    I almost died laughing when they did the CSI Miami sunglasses joke, and then when I though it was finally over Sam turns into KITT... rofl.

    When they drove down that road complete with the Knight Rider theme song at full blast I had serious problems not falling off my chair XD #supernatural

    @aubreyf: I've always been fond of good sidekicks/buddies. Astrid is smart, competent and an island of normalcy in Walter's lab. With Charlie gone (another great buddy character BTW) she's the only one there that's firmly grounded and not lugging a lot of personal baggage.

    That's my two cents anyway. #fringe
