I don't have flash installed at work so I have to wait to see what I think of the trailer.

Cowboy Bebop was the first thing that came to mind for me. The mechanical design was soo much better.
And this is severely lacking in Faye Valentine.

Am I to understand this is all CG, not live action?
Yeah, the melodramatic teaser kinda turned me off their presentation of it. I hope it's good though, just because there's so much shit out there, and it's a decent premise - unless it is all tied to the remains of Jesus or Mary Magdalene.

Honestly, a part of my brain really hopes this turns out like the Muse's "Knights of Cydonia" music video. Seriously, if that music video were a movie, I would totally watch it.

I didn't really buy into it when I saw the 1st ep because there was something that I can't put my finger on that didn't mesh between the two ideas, but that's just me.

however, it's possible their were economies of scale there we don't know much about. wealth gap was certainly a recurring motiff in the series so the characture of trasnportation in-universe is probably an extension of that.

They put forth that space flight will be so expensive, it's cheaper to send horse embryos than a truck. Trucks can't reproduce, require processed fuel and break down without expensive imported parts. Horses can make more horses, and eat cheaper fuel.
