They don't need a reboot, what they need to do is use some of O'Bars other books in the Crow series and not shit on them. While they may not have had as much emotional depth as the first Crow did, they were good stories in their own right.

Dead Time and Flesh & Blood were both good. Take a look at those, and stay away from Eddie Furlong.

If we keep remaking movies that are more and more recent, eventually we will start remaking movies a week after they have been released.

The cycle will continue and we will come to remake movies that haven't been made and Hollywood will have come full circle back into originality.

Unfortunately, they will still never make a movie better than the book they unconciously stole the idea from.

Yeah, this remake shit is getting OUT OF CONTROL. It seriously needs to stop. Hollywood needs to start coming up with some original ideas, instead of rebooting/remaking old films (that were fine to begin with) and remaking films from Japan/Korea/China (that were fine to begin with).

Ahem what does O'Barr the creator of the crow think of this? The Crow was a very personal story for him after all. A reboot of this cultural icon is not needed. The first movie was inspireing and made an impact, because it took the main idea that O'Barr created in the Comic Book and added some layers that made the movie so great. With Norrington's track record I highly doubt that this movie will get any good. Leave it alone. Create new icons before pissing on someone else. I can't skip this any harder.

@MaraOeneus: I don't think O'Barr owns the rights anymore. A lot of his bitterness at the first movie had to do with how cheaply he sold the rights away. I have no idea if the right reverted back to him at some point.

100% agree on the make-up, it needs to go... looking at old Brandon Lee's pics I feel he is in a KISS tribute band or something. Lame.

The first Crow was a pretty awesome, quirky movie, so a reboot could be a good thing, but not just give it to anybody. Plus, anything to erase the memories of the sequels. I'm, strangely, for it. Give it to someone talented like Danny Boyle.
