@icy_one: The last episode of Smallville almost made me lose it with all the Pretty Woman rip off scenes. I was waiting to hear Roy Orbison start singing when "Speedy" got into the car with Oliver.
I can't see how that's better than SGU. #doctorwho
@waytogeaux: Probably because I'm tired of "Destiny is out of X, we're gonna stop at X and some crew members are going to engage in some classic Man vs Nature to retrieve X" which so far has consumed at least 5 of the 6 hours of SGU. SGU doesn't live up to the hype, that's for sure.
Smallville might not be mindblowing television but the producers have never pretended it was. Plus I get a kick out of all the ham-fisted cameos. #doctorwho
@kofianna: Is it ethical to bang your ex-wife when you're in someone else's body? Because we know Young-in-Telford is going to totally do that. The question is: does that count as a threesome? #doctorwho
@NotChoinski: Look, all you need to know is that Mars base has weapons - what was or was not written in that statement has been addressed by the people who need to address such things. #doctorwho
@NotChoinski: It makes about as much sense as "battle between not only Sylar and Nathan and Sylar and Matt but Peter and Sylar (as Nathan)." #doctorwho

The Host 2 is set in and around Cheonggyecheon, a river downtown that was re-established back in the late 90s (as I recall). That street is likely one of the two that run parallel to it, but it's downtown Seoul.
I'm kind of surprised that they were able to take the concept as far as they did; I mean its a mutant fish he size of an elephant, but why can't the government nuke it?
At least Cloverfield had the (weak) explanation that "It's from the depths of the ocean floor so it lives at such high pressure that the heat and pressure of exploding bombs doesn't really hurt it"
@CodenameV: Yeah, except the Cloverfield monster came from space! Did you not catch that tiny little (and I mean tiny) snippet of footage were it flies in from sky right at the end??
@CodenameV: What the hell!!! So what your saying is the footage at the end of the film is actually a sattelite falling into the sea which then wakes up the Cloverfield monster!! How in all of green greek gods was I supposed to figure that out! Why couldnt it be simple and just be the bloody monster! Yeah......it IS stupid!
Honestly, Bong Joon-Ho's original work was less about the monster and much more about the loser family and their place in a highly hierarchical Korean society. The monster was just a metaphor and driving force, that's all. It was barely about the monster at all.
This movie is just going to be like "oh hey look, monster is attacking again, here is a group of guys with traits that will attack it" and probably entirely miss the point.
Why make a sequel/prequel for a movie that was supposed to be a self-enclosed system? It's going to be like what happened to the original Matrix after the sequels came out and stain the reputation of the original.

Please, bring the show back to the quality that it was in season 1. Oh, and bring back Ashley and kill Kate. #doctorwho

(ugh) I think it's idiotic to have to rely on an ARG game for *basic plot information*
but the idea is that a satellite FELL on the dormant sea-monster, waking it up
YES I think this is stupid
