    Well, I'm officially worried about Airbender: the kids look too serious. The thing that made the show was that the kids were still kids (sans Zuko) even with the fate of the world on their shoulders.



    Was really hoping for a Star Wars or Firefly in terms of character interaction, but I knew M. Knight wasn't capable of doing that.

    Bloody hell, those clips from The Vampire Diaries look terrible. Where's the "bad" brother vampire in the preview? This show should be focusing on highlighting how it is different than Twilight, than trying to emphasize how much of a clone it is. Plus, the other brother is the most popular actor in the cast (I'm only watching this show for Ian Somerhalder).

    And just for the record, the editing of Metric's "Help I'm Alive" in the second clip is horrendous. Would it have killed them to actually play two consecutive lines of the song, rather than disjointedly jumping back and forth?

    @Dr Emilio Lizardo: Step 1: Get annoyed because heroes sucks.

    Step 2: Get rid of your TV.

    Step 3: Get crappy internet service (so you can't watch it over the internet).

    Step 4: Go outdoors and do shit.


    This is the plan that I just finished, and it's awesome. Just watch movies on my laptop from netflix, and I spend the rest of my time doing stuff, instead of being passively entertained.

    @Dr Emilio Lizardo: I've found that reading the morning spoilers every day has just about kicked me of the habit. I stuck through all last season, but I'd say it's now at least 75/25 that I won't watch a single episode next season.



    So just keep reading! There is hope for us yet!

    Just read the recaps here first (where apparently they will continue to torture themselves for our amusement!), then you will (a) know what happened so your curiosity will be sated and (b) be reminded of how bad it is for you, like those brutal stop smoking ads in NYC.

    @tetracycloide: I know what you mean. I can't imagine a way that the casting won't be kind of disturbing. Either they'll have a practically all-white cast playing characters from really obviously Asian/Inuit-based cultures... or the cultures in the movie will be scrubbed of all those influences, which seems unlikely and would be offensive for a whole new set of reasons.

    I am crazy and saw a 3:15 a.m. HP6 showing while hopped up on caffeine. Dumbledore gets a nice goodbye even without the funeral scene, I thought.



    Yay Lost spoilers. Now that I've stopped squealing over HP in a manner ill-befitting my age, I can go back to obsessing about a mythology that will could very well let me down (in the tradition of most tv sci-fi).



    Also, keep up the Heroes spoilers. I might actually be convinced to give it up for good.

    And Zuko still appears largely unscarred. He looks more like the victim of an apprentice barber than a boy who took a blast of fire to the face. "Well, we can't scar up the only 'ethnic' face in the cast. So chop his hair a bit--that grows back--and discolor the skin around his eye a bit. That should do the trick."

    @ManchuCandidate: It was originally going to be called "Crap Force," but Nic Cage snatched that up for "Ghost Rider 2: Crap Force," so they had to change it. The letter "G" focused-grouped really well among tweens, so they went with that.

    @RandomFrequentFlierDent: I'm surprised there's such a great cast in it, both live-action and voice talent. I'm a huge fan of Will Arnett, Bill Nighy and Zach Galifianakis that I might just go see it. Plus guinea pigs, moles and hamsters. :)
