Props for featuring Ultraman. I rented the entire original series from Netflix (old DVD set) and I was surprised how much fun I had. I actually had watched the English dub on TV as a wee tot, and for the DVDs I watched with Japanese audio and subtitles. Since the dub was a pretty faithful translation, the stories were familiar. And as an adult I know that in the episode where Ultraman fights what looks like Godzilla, it actually IS the Godzilla suit (so ... I guess it's a cameo? :)

I've mentioned on here a few weeks ago that I'd be willing to add more straight sci-fi to my Netflix Horror, Exploit, and Cult cinema new release lists if you guys were going to use them, but never go an answer. I'll throw the idea out there again just in case.

As it stands, I've carried those list out to Nov. As titles are added to the NF database, I'll add them. just click to see what's doin': [www.netflix.com]

Even if Fox changes their mind about Sarah Connor Chronicles, it can't be made.

Summer Glau is doing Dollhouse, and Lena Headey has been cast for the HBO adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire (as Cersei Lannister, HELL YES).

It's not so much that I try to block out Insurrection as I just . . . forget about it. First Contact was a blast, Nemesis was a train wreck, Insurrection was 103 minutes.

@MrTim: I don't even remember the story of Insurrection or Nemesis, apart from the fact that they were both boring and that the vilain in Nemesis was a lame clone of Picard. I already have Khan, Voyage Home, Search for Spock and First Contact. I don,t need any other Trek movie except maybe for the first one.

@collex: I've only watched each of them once, but I maintain that Insurrection is nowhere near the frnachise-destroying abomination that Nemesis was. Insurrection wasn't that that good, mind you, but it actually had some humanity and decent writing and direction.

Nemesis was criminally awful on all levels.

@Posthaus: It could get even wilder with animation. It would lose the charm of Pilot and the Dominar, but it wouldn't have any limitations on the weird shit they could all get into.

Star Trek follow ups the fanboys have been itching for. The post Nemesis 24th Century. Make it epic like Clone Wars where one ep is on Ent-E; next is about 7 of 9; then one about Kira on DS9.

MIDDLEMAN CARTOON! Get the live-action stars to do the voices, draw the characters to look like them. Probably have to ignore the Fatboy alt. universe at least to start. I need it.

Firefly cartoon with all original actors (incl. Wash and Book, thank you).

X-Files cartoon, with M&S (and Skinner) originals, investigatin' ever-bigger mutants and UFOs. Set in about 3rd season era.

I remember in that Fonz cartoon when they went back and stopped Einstein from helping build the atomic bomb. Fonz was like "Nukes are for nerrrrds." And Einstein was like "Da, you are right Fonzie. It is as you say Exactamundo!"

But then Germany ended up taking over the world and Fonz was like: "I was wrrrrr - wrrrr - " and he couldn't say he was wrong.

It was so awesome.
