    Lets not forget Cash907 that the makers of this movie blatantly lied and billed this crap as “real footage”. Its one thing to say something is “based” on a true story and quite another to make up the storie and then sell it to the public as authentic. Although I could tell the “real footage” was fake from the get go, there were still lots of people in the theater that thought it was real. I even received lasers from some people when at one point I had to laugh at the bad acting by the supposed “real people”. Also don’t forget Cash 907 that people like Michael Moore sell their “documentaries” as real as well.

    @Annalee Newitz: It's funny to kick something that takes itself seriously, or at least try's to back up it's pretense.

    Kicking a dead horse, or in this case, pointing at dead horse you've already kicked, and saying "Hey, that horse is still dead," is just a waste. A scintillating deconstruction of the latest episode of Heroes like a lab scene in CSI with a beat you dance to, not a waste.

    No, but see, it _is_ based on a true story. See, the guy who wrote the screenplay was sitting in a bar, and this other guy a couple seats away was talking loudly with his buddy about how it'd be cool if there was a cheesy film about alien abductions. Bing bang boom, and dude stumbles home with a completed screenplay written on bar napkins, based on the true story of him overhearing stuff in a bar. #thefourthkind

    Think of all the photo-manipulators and now photoshoppers they have put through college.

    Think of all the children who can eat a well balanced breakfast because their parents write for those tabloids.

    Think of all the postal workers who continue to draw a paycheck because the non-sane continue to send their deranged writings in by snail mail, so the man can't read it with his internets.

    So I say, scorn not the tabloids! At least in this grand country they're fit to print what ain't! #thefourthkind
