    Why won't ABC put the newest episode of V online? How are they worse than FOX these days? I can watch Fringe not even a day later than it airs (though the episode should still be available online at the same time as it airs (or at least IMMEDIATELY after it ends)).

    People only download shows illegally b/c its easier and faster to aquire the content. If ABC, FOX, etc made it easier to get HD content immediately for a nominal fee, people would pay for it. Sure some people would continue to download purely because they don't want to spend money, put these shows are about building a fan base anyway - don't they want people to want to watch?

    Shows should be available online for HD streaming within 5 minutes of the shows live airtime debut. Shows should also be for sale on iTunes with an HD download becoming available as soon as the airtime starts. #thegreenhornet

    @Nasdaf: The pilot went up online the Saturday after it aired. They are making them available for streaming, just not immediately. Personally I'm not quite invested enough in V yet to care that much. #thegreenhornet

    @Blue_Thark: I think ABC missed a bet by not making it a miniseries. I'm old enough to remember the original VIVIDLY, and the fact that it ran over a few nights really upped the impact. #thegreenhornet

    As you might have guessed from my previous posts, I'm not a big fan of Whedon. I don't *hate* the guy, I just find his fans kind of... fixated, but as someone who has his own favourites (Go Team Venture!) I shouldn't talk.

    Nonetheless, I think that Whedonites need to realize that there are two kinds of fans: Gnostics and Evangelists (if the religious terms offend you, I'm sorry). Evangelists are the kind of fan who try to tell other people about how great what they like is. Gnostics, otoh, regard their favourite thing as a secret that only they can appreciate, using codewords (like "No Power in the 'verse!") that if you don't understand, you're no good.

    I think Whedonites are too often Gnostics for his stuff to be mainstream hits. #thegreenhornet

    @Wookie1972: I was a total Buffy fan and enjoyed most of the seasons of Angel. But I just could never get into Firefly and all these other Whedon projects post-Buffyverse. I really like Neal Patrick Harris but just couldn't stand Dr. Horrible -- there, I said it, folks.

    I find the whole cute/clever/self-awareness style of Whedon's (and his cohorts' -- e.g., Jane Epsenson) writing to have become overbearing, annoying, pretentious, and, worse, outdated in this day and age of live-action entertainment.

    It's not really about Whedon, it's about the way you see fandom. Do you see fandom as the good news you want to share (again, sorry for the religious analogy, but it works for me) or do you see it as a secret society with handshakes and the like? Too many geeks, imho of course, go the "screw them if they don't like it" route, which doesn't exactly keep up the demographics.

    But I dunno, I mean I have my own cult faves as well. It's easy to be possessive about them. #thegreenhornet

    @shoroko: That solidifies Castiel isnt exiting stage left in next week's episode, however, if he is still looking to the future. That, or they planted one heck of a misdirect in TV Guide.
    Leaves it between the Harvelle's and Bobby as the two mortally wounded.

    I actually think that's specifically NOT a great picture of Baccarin, but it just might be due to the extreme close up.

    I have to wonder why you would take someone so unbelievably graceful as Summer Glau - a conservatory-level dancer - and hobble her movements with that sling. It's somehow painful to look at. Maybe that's the point I guess, but yuck. #thegreenhornet

    I think since Dollhouse is canceled, TPTB should just scrap every episode that has not yet aired so far, and write up a bunch of nutty, absurd Clockwork Orange-y stories that will make people tune in just to see the crazy of a dying show, then package those plus the 13 unaired episodes in a massive Dollhouse DVD boxset.

    They should do that for SGU too. That way we can find out later that the SGU people are actually puppets that have been trapped inside a Furling's giant terrarium. #thegreenhornet

    @spidyredneckjedi: Entertainingly, it's been done before, and Fox was the playground that time, too...

    Back in 1990, Fox aired a little dark comedy called "Good Grief" with Howie Mandel and Tom Poston. About mid-way through the initial thirteen episodes, they got word that they were canceled but that the rest of the first thirteen would air (not like Fox had much else at the time), and they went completely nuts with it.

    By the time they finished, it was utterly hilarious, and a shame that it was going away..

    I remain hopeful that maybe one day a DVD box set of this will show up. #thegreenhornet

    @firstanointed: I've basically quit watching SGU, but I didn't actually mean to. Things come up, and while I (kinda) still like the show, I don't dig it enough to make it a priority. One of these days I'll probably binge the few episodes I've missed via Hulu.

    @firstanointed: Same here. I have cable but it's not plugged into my TV. If there's a show I'm really into, I'll plug in the cable. Generally though, I just stream all my shows to my PS3 using a sweet piece of software called PlayOn. That way, I can watch what I want when I want it, and I don't risk that cable-surf addiction I'm prone to. #thegreenhornet

    I just can't care about anything that happens to the characters on SG:U (and I've really been trying). They're all so unlikable.

    @RandomFrequentFlierDent: Love the SG-1 characters. Would love another movie there. I also like a few of the SGU characters, but they have virtually no chemistry right now. I've missed the last two episodes though, so maybe there's some chemistry by now. It shouldn't take that long though. #thegreenhornet

    @atrus123: I've been wondering if my problem with SG:U is that I keep expecting the characters to live up to the love I have for all of SG-1 (including Vala and Mitchell but excluding Jonas Quinn). Thinking back though I remember instantly liking O'Neill and Carter. That just hasn't happen for me with anyone on SG:U so I don't think my high expectations are entirely to blame. And I loved to see another movie bringing the whole gang back together again. I just wish Don Davis (General Hammond) was still around.

    @TemporalSword: I actually liked Eli at first and I thought I might end up liking Zoe. Since the first episode both have ended up annoying me to no end. I just don't know what to do about SG:U. Watching it has become a chore, but I don't want to ditch it only for it improve later and then I have to play catch up. #thegreenhornet

    @RandomFrequentFlierDent: Zoe is the worst. when she got upset that her friend was dateing her boyfriend i thought to myself: "wait you're upset your friends are having a relationship when you up and disappeared, meanwhile you hopped into fly boy's pants at first opportunity?" and the fact that she strings eli along is also a sign of self absorbed pretty girl syndrome. i really cant have sympathy for her at all.
