@Bigdamnhero: Hmmm... since we're recounting embarrassing... I only got the pun of the Mayor in Nightmare Before Christmas being a two faced politician a few months ago... I proceeded to get someone to slap me hard...
Anyway, awesome clips... I wish I could see that whole episode of buzzcocks.
@Polymath: Yup. I had a mild reading issue though school. The counselor said it was like, for me, there was the written word, the spelling of the word and the spoken word and they don't really wander around with each other in my head.
Puns like that have always escaped me (much to the consternation of ad men I assume.)
There used to be a candy when I was a kid - shaped like soda bottles called "Soda Licious"(sp?) I was 30-something before I said "Wait. 'So Delicious', D'oh!"
It's one of the reasons why I read voraciously. It constantly reinforces the word to spelling connection.
The Master is great in this, doing the full Bond villain routine, with a chauffeur and a fat cigar and a plot to take over the world. Plus UNIT have a really excellent gun battle as they storm the prison. Plus nightmare sequences, a glamorous Chinese lady spy, and the Puff the Magic Dragon! Can't wait to see this in its psychedelic glory.
Good gravy, do I love the Master! He is absolutely camp, even in his most "serious" incarnation. And now he's in color again! This is brilliant, and those responsible for this science (which certainly, on a technical level, this approaches) are quite cool for having the brains to even imagine such things. As a fan of outmoded technologies (I successfully repaired my grandparents' CED Player last year) I salute you.
Now it's off to play Scissor Sisters' "I Can't Decide" and find myself giddy over the misery of others.

My mind has been blown.

Yeah, about five years out of college.

Thank god nobody ever heard me say that out loud.

What?
Really....
