I walked away when the conclusion was "Jeebus" and haven't looked back. Nothing I've read here is going to encourage me to change that. #battlestargalactica
@Klebert L. Hall: Yeah .... the series didn't just go off the rails, the tran rocketed off the tracks and exploded at the bottom of the ravine like the horse-drawn carriage in Van Helsing. I don't care a fig about this new movie. There isn't a retcon in the universe big enough to save the series unless the entire last half of the last season is a fantasy going through the mind of someone about to pull the trigger and kill herself. #battlestargalactica
Not gonna watch it. Watching the last season of BSG was depressingly painful. I wanted to find out what happened, figuring that it all would make sense in the end...but that didn't happen.
It was pretty obvious that the story-arc writer didn't have a plan, and if he didn't have a plan, how are the Cylons supposed to have a plan? #battlestargalactica
"...watching it will leave you with more questions than answers." Good. I hate it when science fiction shows need to explain everything. I don't need an explanation for every little detail or a plot line for every Cylon article of clothing. Although a movie from the point of view of Number 6's underclothes would be awesome. #battlestargalactica
The irony of BSG of course is that the fans had far better plans than Ron Moore in the end. This is what has made LOST fans so faithful is the mutual engagement and respect between the fans and the writers. For BSG, it was "let's avoid any logic and reasoning because the fans have already come up with a better scenario, so we can't go there." #battlestargalactica
@byers: Seriously? The title of the article is just a snarky joke. If you read the article, obviously the Cylons do have a plan; Annalee just doesn't think too highly of it. #battlestargalactica
It felt disjointed. It revealed things I didn't want to know (Boomer receiving direct orders from Cavill rather than being pre-programmed), and neglected to cover things I would've liked to have known more about...
The TV cut might actually be better because they'll have to drop whole scenes. I do feel like it's the Simon episode we never had though. I always thought that actor's performance was great in The Farm and was shocked when his role didn't grow. If they stuck to Simon and Anders it would've been good.
I agree. This film was made for fans.I watched it last night and you would not get it unless you watched BSG.
There were some really cool FX shots that I enjoyed. There were a lot of small clips from the show unfortunately so that is a drawback. There were some holes filled in as you stated above and there were some weirdness too that makes you think.
the cavil and simon part also could of meant that cavil knows (we know that) but maybe simon thought he might be a cylon ?
I think that the cavil model is just plain broken in the head.He is insane but has power. And he is evil and hates all humans.I think he just wanted to kill the whole lot of us so only the machines would be left and free from the human virus.
that is right we are the virus to the machines ? #battlestargalactica
@cletar: More specifically, the plan was to kill the final 5 at once, leaving the entire human race as collateral damage. Somehow, they managed to fail at even killing a single one of the final 5. #battlestargalactica
Someday, when I have a child, I will watch BSG with them. And, when we get to the mid-season 4 break, I will say,
[Insert child's name], you have a choice. We can stop here and now with the dead Earth. Or we can go on and find out what Ron Moore thinks the ending of the series should be. I can't make that decision for you. You have to choose for yourself. But be warned, once we go forward you cannot unsee what you will see and you cannot unlearn what you will learned. No matter how much you long again to return to the irraditated ashes of the dead Earth, there is no turning back. You will have to live the rest of your life knowing Ron Moore's final vision of the series. Choose wisely....#battlestargalactica
@Srynerson: Also, child, you can't unsee Star Trek V, or the Phantom Menace. There's a world in which the Star Wars universe contains no characters named Jar Jar, and another, grimmer world...well, choose wisely. #battlestargalactica

Hey, just like the writers!
Does that mean the writers are anti-human skinjobs? It would certainly explein some things...
