Love ya to adorable lil' bits, Annalee, and I'm sure your review of The Unborn is spot-on. But if corpse-y, spookified, dead-eyed lil' kids don't chill your spine, you've the heart of a diamond chilled to absolute zero.

Or your summer camps/pre-adolescent sleep-overs were notably more traumatic than mine were.

    Either/or. (shrug)

Blah, my cousin and I saw this movie today and I must say if this guy co-wrote the Nolan Batman movies then he must have also written all the crappy bits of those movies as well. Honestly, the point that I took away from this movie was that rabbi(s) apparently have better faith in the Lord that Christian priest.
While it has to be better than Bride Wars it's not a good movie at all. The scares are cheap and I fount myself laughing and mocking allot of it. The dog with the upside down head is more funny that scary. How the hell is that dog gone bite you anyway?

It's typical of American horror movies to take a great idea and dilute it to the point of being worthless. The standard "jumping out" scares are cheap and the film industry is so busy trying to show off their new CGI toys they forget that the greatest fear is the UNknown. As soon as you can see the monster you can classify it and the movie becomes less scary. Finally, the chase for the tween crowd means they usually feature vapid teenagers who you want to kill yourself.

Give me horror that creates an atmosphere where I never feel safe, give me something disturbing, something that pops up into my head at random times. Let me think "My God, what is it!?" but never, ever show me.

@Kiamat: I know what you mean, but I like to see cool monsters. And one of the ways this movie didn't disappoint was with the glimpses of cool monsters. The problem was really just the writing.
