Conversely, Furlan has hit the point where there's no way she could believably pull off herself, seventeen years younger (actually, 20 years younger at this point, since Lost Time has caught up again with Real Time).

Just a theory.

What about Sun's daughter?

#1 Christian/Jacob (are they the same person?) is not corporeal. He wouldn't even help Locke stand up. I understand not turning the wheel... that's Locke's job, but he could at least get the man up off the ground. The obvious reason is that he really, physically cannot touch Locke.
#2 Hieroglyphs are important! Does anyone have screen caps of the three separate sightings (temple, Ben's secret smoke monster spot, and the Countdown hatch) so we can try and translate?
#3 Nothing is going to be settled until Claire gets Aaron back. I think.

2. Young Rousseau is hot.

2. If it comes down to it, will Sun be able to willingly give up seeing her daughter ever again just to be with Jin?
3. What was the name of the girl that Ben traded dolls with? We never did see what became of her when the Purge happened...did we?
4. Whatever happened between Ellie and Widmore that they're now fighting on opposite sides from the regular world?
5. So, do you think it passed through Locke's mind how much better it was to have the rope disappear on him partway down than to have the elevator shaft do the same thing?
6. R.I.P., Charlotte. You were awesomely hot while you lasted.

2. I guess we'll find out!
3. Annie, and no, we didn't learn yet what became of her.
4. I wonder if Ellie is actually working with Ben or working with Widmore, or has her own end-game entirely.

7. And what does this all mean for Desmond? Sure, Mr. Helicopter probably won't be too put out by the idea that he might have to return to the Island, but Desmond won't want to go back without Penny in tow...and Ben has sworn to kill her if he ever finds her.

Yeah, that's a question that really needs to be answered sooner rather than later. We know all the O6 need to return (Jack/Kate/Hurley/Sayid/Sun/Aaron) because Ben and Locke have both been actively trying to convince them to do so. I suspect that Sun's daughter _might_ need to return because she was conceived on the Island. Desmond and the helicopter pilot are a great unknown. And with Desmond, it gets even trickier. His presence might not be required to fix this (like the O6), but his special abilities regarding time travel might be very helpful in fixing problems.

That would be several kinds of creepy. He's probably the Crazy Man, but I doubt he's her dad. She specifically mentions that she never saw her dad again, and if Faraday looked exactly like him, it surely would have come up before.

Isn't Ben her baby's father?
02/12/09
No, she was pregnant when she arrived on the island, and the Others kidnapped her daughter for Ben to raise as his own. So, adoptive-ish, but not birth-father.

Also, her death was too obvious, and that just doesn't work for a show like Lost. When death becomes as common place as a bad pun on Knight Rider, then it's time Team Darlton gave that little plot device a rest. Besides... why the hell do people need to die for the story to progress?
P.S. I rewatched her death knell three times, and I swear she is actually saying "I get to have chocolate waffles for dinner."

Daniel can't not warn her. It already happened, so if it was him, it will be him when the time comes back around. If it was someone else, then he'll be unable to stop it. The thing is, it'll be interesting to see how he takes it. More than anyone else, he'll know how futile it will be to attempt to change time (without Desmond), but you know he'll be driven to try anyways.
And you're wrong about the chocolate waffles.

!@#$%. I didn't think it was possible for me to loathe George "the human bobblehead" Clooney more than I already do. Clearly, I was wrong.

1. I wonder if the Island is now in the most recent "time frame" - meaning Jack and team can now return to the Island because it's now 3 years later to the island inhabs.
2. The hieroglyphics on the Temple were interesting, but then the later scene takes place at a church. I'm wondering if Mama Faraday has something to do with the Temple and she's part of the "religion" of the island.
3. I used to think the Oceanic 6 had to all return in those 70 minutes, but it seems that Mama Faraday's time limit was just for the "window" to return and I think the 70 minutes corresponds to Locke's turning the wheel - if you think about it, she must have known the exact time Locke would turn the wheel and that defines when she can do her work (whatever that is). I'm now doubting all the Oceanic 6 will return - I think it's probably safe to say the 2 kids will not go... okay, maybe Aaron, but I've got my doubts.

The arm wasn't ripped loose. It was severed. Right before it happens, you can see a cord of Smokey wrapping around his bicep, and then suddenly Montand is gone but his arm is not.

What were they going to do with it, fold the fingers up, impale it on a post, and use it to point towards camp? I'd guess that Rousseau (wisely) high-tailed it out of there when Jin went poof. She'd be unlikely to _care_ about a severed arm, once it really dawned on her that she had just effectively been abandoned in the middle of an island jungle...while pregnant. And the idiots who went spelunking in Smokey's Lair were clearly brainwashed to some degree during their little adventure. The arm probably didn't seem terribly important compared to whatever they were convinced they needed to go and do.
