@PVIII: i'm not sure i agree. i quite enjoyed 'la science des rêves' more than 'eternal sunshine of the spotless mind'. i felt the former was an adorable representation of unconventional love without the over-preciousness.
I love the MIT art department. And the Maria Strata center, I don't care what the haters say. When I lived in the MIT area I had to throw out my old computer, and my roommate told me to leave it on the street outside. So sure enough, every sixth or so passerby would bend down and find something usable in the computer, and by the end of the day all that was left was the shell and the hard drive. MIT ftw.
@gargle: We actually have an MIT email list called Reuse, to which people post notices of electronics/supplies/whatever they're throwing out. And then all the list readers flock to the hallways and rummage through all the semi-useful crap. One person's trash really is another's treasure! :D :D
So, it's OK to jump up and down and yell 'VOTE! VOTE!VOTE!', but when it comes time to do any other duty requested of citizens, it's 'I'm too busy'? Nice.
I only recently caught up with 30 Rock (Netflix has the first two seasons in their "Watch Instantly" section), and *yes* it was the whole Palin SNL thing that made me give it a second look, but I had tried it when it first debuted and for some reason didn't get hooked.
Now I am TOTALLY HOOKED! Liz Lemon is the geek-queen of us all.
