Is Tintin A Near-Perfect Storm Of Genre Movie-Making?

In reply to Is Tintin A Near-Perfect Storm Of Genre Movie-Making?
I just had a twisted idea.

Pegg is a 40-year-old plucky boy reporter still traveling the globe with Snowy III, the Twins, Professor C., and Captain Haddock (played by Brian Blessed, duh). I see Tintin as this perpetual man-child trying to bring Gee-golly justice to a modern, scary worldthat has long outgrown his hopelessly naive views.

@bohica78: Thanks. The rest of my idea is tripe. I finally bothered to read the original article and now know that Pegg plays Thompson and Frost will be Thomson. Makes much more sense given that these two probably finish eachother's sentences in real life.

I hope they set it in the Mid 20th Century. Otherwise it might turn out like that awful Johnny Quest remake. No.I don't mean The Venture Brothers, now that is a perfect cartoon storm!

The best thing about Tintin is watching francophones cringe at the way we Americans pronounce his name.

A compelling case that Tintin is, in fact, Gay.

@taffy: no calculus comes from the latin for a series of small stones... which i think it one of the neatest things ever since limits are basically like lining up increasingly diminishing sized pebbles until you almost get to your target...

Haha. Although this is all great up until we get the nod that it will be written by Christophen Nolan, and directed by Frank Miller

She was a whore, but I loved her still. Until the Captain came and took her. I'd find pieces of her here and there while on his trail. A hand in Bangkok. An eye in Dubai. I stopped sleeping. That's when I started the morphine."

Days I'd stand in the shower, clenching my hands and remembering the feel of a man's intestines slipping between my fingers. Women are whores. But I always had you Snowy. My constant companion.
