Director Tom Tykwer (The International) revealed that he's working with the Wachowskis on a script for an adaptation. Given that Cloud Atlas involves six interlocking (and incomplete) narratives — two of which take place in the future — a movie version could be a dizzying masterpiece, or it could be another The Fountain.
