I have yet to meet a fannish costumer who couldn't wipe the floor with "Alpha Centuri" from the John Pertwee era... Seriously, there have been times in the past where the BBC could have used the fans' help.

Wish this contest was open to fans outside the UK. I'd participate in a heartbeat.

As previously stated, there are some damn talented creature creators out there, so I'm not worried about quality... Unless of course, they get lazy and just pick some crappy design at random. *cough* Absorbaloff *cough*

Don't be so sure that the quality control will go out the window - fans who make this stuff can often times make it just as good as what's on screen. I've heard and seen of some fantastic Dr. Who props.
