In reply to What Happens When ABC Runs Out Of V?
Am I weird in that I have never seen an episode of Lost? I feel like I am missing out on something. If the main lady from V is a big character on Lost, I can see myself watching, because she is quite attractive (and a good actress).

ABC should acquire the rights to the BBC's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy TV series. They should then tack the first episode of that series onto V. They can record new dialogue with the Vogon leader berating the "Vees" for trying to conquer a planet scheduled for demolition. It could include two new Hitchhiker's Guide entries:

ABC Executives: ABC Executives are slimy empty suits who seem to always manage to muck up even golden opportunities and will be the first with their butts against the wall when the revolution comes.

Visitors: Visitors are a loathsome race of space lizards, stupidly conquering planets through needlessly complicated schemes rather than the direct approach of blowing stuff up real good with their obviously superior technology. They are used as ham-handed stand ins for whatever American TV writers currently hate about their country.

If they can't show V again until March, they could resurrect Defying Gravity, though the sets have been dismantled already. The last few episodes are actually quite good, and they haven't been shown in the US yet, so ABC might show them. #v

Omg, if Alan Tudyk was on Lost, I would completely forgive JJ for the past 3 years. In WRITING. Hell, I might make him a video thank-you card.

*Wants Alan Tudyk on LOST now* #v

Do they literally not have any episodes ready to put on the air after the fourth episode? They can't just put up an additional episode or two ahead of schedule?

Also, does anyone know if they are going to hurry up and get rid of references to "aliens", shots of ginormous space ships, and other sci-fi trappings they told us audiences hated in prime time, in order to keep momentum going?

I mean, they got a hit on their hands, they need to do some serious corrective CG surgery to remove all the elements that will alienate future viewers who want to see what all the buzz is about.

The faith they have in the sci-fi audience is truly heart warming.

I am no real scientist but to me it does not take a lot of intelligence to realize if you keep putting trash somewhere it will effect the area.
Just keep putting pollution into the air and it will do something bad.
Yes the Earth does go thru climate cycles and we all know that one but greenhouse gasses do bring as temperature up and that one is proved in labs.
As far as I think nowadays I will go on record as stating that Global Warming is due to both the natural Earth Climate along with us polluting the air. Both things are happening and both are casuing climate issues. #ecology

"We have decades to figure out ways to deal with it: to find carbon-free sources of energy, to develop techniques for removing carbon from the atmosphere or geoengineering the climate, or simply to adapt."

We have decades? Where's the evidence for that? Moreover, if it boils down to adapting, I'd like to remind Mr. Tierney that species do NOT adapt to significant changes to the environment in a matter of decades, not even us oh-mighty humans. #ecology

@Roklimber: And adaptation usually requires the weak to die out. That's how evolution works. As humans, we want everyone to live, not just the best adapted. #ecology

This book had to be made to keep up the Star Trek book tradition. I remember when I was a kid I had the tech manual and the concordance and used them while watching the series every night on channel 39.
I still wish one day they would build the Dreadnought.
