Dino-saucers anyone? I loved that the Dino's ships had like no aerodynamics. They would Dino-volve. And I had a crush on Sara.

Was there a toy series Marvel didn't improve? Sectaurs, Starriors (a very cool take on post-mankind AI)... all good stuff in Marvel's hands.

And monsters_delivers_msg is right, how can you not include Visionaries? From an age of science to an age of magic...that's the 2000 election right there.

VISIONARIES ... Knights of the magical LIIIIGHT!

They were the back-up story in the Transformers comic for a while and had a Saturday morning cartoon to boot. Their shtick was to hold aloft their magic holographic banners and summon totemic animal powers. Most of the plotlines centered around recharging the banners as I recall.

Oh, and the need for a Defenders of the Earth (DEFENDERS!) film goes without saying too.

@monster_delivers_msg: Hey, I added Visionaries, thanks for the suggestion! This was one case where I wasn't sure what came first, the toy or the TV show... but it looks like the toy actually did come first. Thanks again!

    Slinkys vs.Weebles: the Movie

Yes, Slinky is fun for a girl and a boy...

BUT, mind you, Weebles wobble BUT they don't fall down! Not ever.

So put that in your E-Z Bake Oven and smoke it.

That's what I was thinking. It's simultaneously every parents worst nightmare and every kids fondest dream.

Seriously, could you supply kids with 100 tangled yards of choky yellow string today and call it a toy?

Another mark for "Masters of the Universe" wasn't obscure. It certainly wasn't as obscure as the Go-Bots movie that you quoted as a disqualifier.
