Having seen the trailer for [REC]² I am definitely less worried. Things we've heard before made it sound like they were going to make a big budget schlockfest...but we're back in the same building, and it looks like some of the same people are still undead. I'm definitely intrigued, although my Italian is far too poor to understand what they're saying.
I love pretty much love everything Pixar's done, and while they've not all been absolute gems (i'm looking at you, Cars) I trust their teams to make engaging, witty, emotional adventures no matter what. That said, why are their next 3 pictures slated to be sequels?!? I'm rather put-off by this news.
It's not that I don't think they can make GOOD sequels (Toy Story 2 was great!) but I value their sheer imaginative creativity that brings us new stories, new characters, and new worlds to get invested in every time.
@Evil Tortie's Mom: R.O.A.C.H.: It might be his native accent, but I think most people will pretty much permanently switch to a new accent as long as they move away before roughly the age of 12. I mean, I suppose an English accent is technically my native accent, although I'm in a slightly different boat than John Barrowman because I left when I was 3. Even so, my default American accent noticeably slips when I'm talking with my English parents for sustained periods, often to the amusement of any friends around to witness it.
My point? None, really, other than I find accents really fascinating, and the mechanics of John Barrowman's dual accents seem particularly bizarre. In an entirely wonderful way, of course.
@Evil Tortie's Mom: R.O.A.C.H.: I played this clip for my wife who was also born and lived in Scotland 'til she was 10 (coincidentally). She couldn't tell his accent and we go back and forth to Scotland every other year or so. Her accent is also pretty weak when it slips out and kinda embarrassing when she tries to put it on for her family and Scot friends (for fun of course). No slight to Barrowman. We love him. The fact that he's Scottish is a nice bonus!
Isn't this just a shorter version of the trailer that came out about a month ago? I see no new footage - all that was different is the clips from 1 & 2 at the start and the whole bit with Spanish Buzz is missing.
It woulda been great to add wear marks and scuffs to the characters to show that it really has been 15 years since the first movie came out, and what, 10 years in the movie's timeline?

His American is a little dodgy, still.

Anyone know a date for that episode. I need to set a reminder to download it.

And also, Barrowman's accent is just bizzare isn't it? Its a weird scottish/american mix, then he goes right back into american, and sounds normal.

Which I guess doesn't matter for Capt. Jack since he's from the future.

Adam Baldwin and Joshua Gomez would make frequent guest appearances.
