But who else will be able to take us inside Bumblebee's deepest character struggles?

Over at the Don Murphy boards, Orci popped in to tell fans that the writing duo would most likely not be returning for the third Transformers film. And of course there's going to be a third film - we got toys to make people.

"Time for fresh blood!" writes Orci. "The main reason we would move on is because we risk getting stale and comfortable. If you only sing one song for too long, you miss the opportunity to sing new songs. We'll see."

Well if this frees them up to write the Star Trek sequels (which no one has announced, but I'm willing to bet they get made), then fine. These two are some serious Trek fans, and someone needs to be around to keep J.J. in check.

<![CDATA[Optimus Is Pissed About You Spreading Those Shia Rumors]]> New Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen posters are out, and Optimus Prime looks pissed as hell. Have they forgotten he's the good guy? Or is this a foreshadowing of a change of heart for the Autobots' big boss? Click through for more images, plus the latest on how star Shia LaBeouf's injury has affected the filming.

Good news: Shia headed back to the set last week despite the injuries he received with cast member Isabel Lucas in a car accident. His injuries have delayed some of the shooting for Transformers, but perhaps this means they'll get back on track.

<![CDATA[Transformers 2 Robot Roll Call, With First Pics Of Jetfire]]> New Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen set pictures showcase a new transforming robot: the shiny and ultra bad-ass Jetfire. John Turturro (Sector 7 Agent Simmons), Megan Fox, and Shia Lebeouf were all filming at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington DC. Click through to see a gallery from the film set and a list of the new Transformers appearing in T2.

Transformer Jetfire (A Decepticon turn-coat) transforms into a SR-71 Blackbird (awesome). According to a leaked crew call sheet from other new Transformers appearing in T2 are Stinger, Arcee the girl motorcycle, The Twins (which turn into an ice cream truck), an unknown Decepticon that transforms into a Audi R8, a wheely robot, and a construction earth mover.

(TheBadAndTheUgly has pictures of three identical-looking women in motorcycle leathers, who may be the holographic "riders" of Arcee in her motorcycle form. Some sources suggest Arcee actually splits into three motorcycles instead of transforming into just one bike.)

Sources confirmed to io9 that the title, Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen is more than meets the eye. The "Fallen" refers directly to ancient Transformer from the comic books. Worshipped/feared as a type of devil by other Transformers, the historic robot has been around since the beginning of the universe. The story actually begins with a god-like character named Primus, who created life, and the 13 original Transformers, to battle his foe, Unicron the massive planet-eater. One of the original 13, the Fallen became the Judas of the group when he betrayed his fellow 'bots and dedicated his life to Unicron. When Unicron was sucked into a black hole into another universe, the Fallen was trapped in the "underspace" between dimensions.
