    Well...shoot. About a month ago I spotted the two McQuarrie box sets at TRU for $40 each.

    Also, minor quibble, but the Steampunk section should include Girl Genius graphic novels.

    To all the Whedon fans: forget Buffy Season 8 and buy Astonishing X-Men. It's awesome.

    I kind of wish he was still writing it, I just know he would have turned Kitty Pryde and Emma Frost into lesbians.

    Just don't watch the motion comic.

    @octaslash: In all fairness though it did get bad even while he was witting it.

    Danger Room is alive? Not a good idea.

    He did pull it together in the end though.

    Oh and your comment about Kitty and Emma. Probably would have happened. There were a number of complaints that the characters were basically just rehashes of Buffy. I didn't care. Wes/Cyclops = Awesomeness.

    I'd definitely buy Left 4 Dead 2 as a gift if it didn't also require that I buy an Xbox . . . although I do know someone with an Xbox - would it be considered tacky to buy them L4D2 as a gift, and then spend all my free time at their apartment playing said gift?

    @collex: Unfortunately my laptop is a couple years old and also kind of a piece of crap. It struggles with running microsoft word. I'd honestly feel guilty inflicting something like L4D2 on it. It'd probably explode.

    So here's my problem with the Star Trek list. I want to own 2-4 and 6 on Blu-ray, but my options are apparently to own 2-4 on Blu-ray or all 6. I love 6 a lot, but is it worth the shame of owning 5?

    Someone once told me V was all a near death experience Kirk had while falling, and only the campfire sequences at the beginning and end were real. Thus explaining the bizarre inconsistencies, insane troll logic and general wackiness.

    I have chosen to believe this.

    @Darklighter: They're all available individually now on Blu-Ray, each film, all the way from TMP to Nemesis...I bought TWOK by itself at Best Buy the other day

    @Darklighter: Well, the box set is 40$ for 6 movie, which means about 6,66$ each. Considering I just bought 6 on DVD at Best Buy for 12 bucks (they had 2 for the same price on DVD, but couldn't find the 4th one), moneywise the box set is worth the price, even if you won't watch 5. There is also a 2-3-4 trilogy boxset available, if you wish, bought mine for 30 bucks at Best Buy this summer. (Something I now regret, seeing they now have this 6-disc box set and I can't find #1)

    @collex: I knew about the trilogy box set, I just hadn't learned that they finally got around to releasing them individually. Though looking at prices, it seems the prudent thing to do is to get the 6-film box set and establish a perception field around 5.

    @EndangeredRed: My sister got me a "Serenity in Flight" t-shirt for my birthday (as well as a "Han Shot First" t-shirt and a Blue Sun t-shirt for herself). We enjoy geeking out together and wearing them in public. Mine is a nerdy family.

    I'm thinking of getting the "Inevitable Betrayal" tee for my boyfriend. Hopefully he doesn’t read this.

    I feel sad that I actually own each item on the Star Trek list.
    Well, only one of the colognes (Red Shirt), but still...

    Also have the majority of the Doctor Who list too... But instead of cuff-links, I have a rather nice disappearing TARDIS watch. Do have to ask though: What's with the lack of Sonic Screwdriver? Every Whovian should have at least one!

    Do want the Jayne hat though. So badly...

    And already have the Vampire Taxonomy book - good read.

    You forgot one key item for the hardcore Star Wars fan:

    A gift certificate for chair time at the local tattoo parlor to get a Star Wars tattoo.

    Any chump can run around with a plastic light saber, spouting Vaderisms. You're not a real Star Wars fan until you're ready to bleed for it.

    @LittleDragon: Honestly, I have never thought about the voicebox.

    I do not know if you have ever heard of the 501st. But I would suggest you check them out. [www.501st.com]

    I found them through a local charity orginizations. I am sure they can help. I am eventually going to join them when I am not on my way to work.

    You know, that would be pretty funny though. Instead of my idea of walking around the mall in it.

    @SSgtTEX: The first time I meet a stormtrooper face to helmet, he had a stellar voice box. One of my old bosses was a member of the 501st.
