    DVD menu says Terminated Scene, Features list says Terminated Scenes

    Which is it? because it's quite important to my purchasing decision whether the only deleted scene in series 2 has just been embedded in io9 for free

    @Charax: No, no... that DVD menu screen is from the season one boxset, I think... sorry to mislead. Plus I assume each disk has some deleted scenes on it. That's usually the way it works.

    Start with the pilot then go from there. Not saying that to be a smart mouth. The show really is that good and it's best to just watch it from the beginning and enjoy rather than cherry pick.

    I decided that this summer's "catch up on a show I'd been ignoring" would be Supernatural, and started watching from S01E01 back in June or so.

    By season 4, it had gotten hot enough that I burned through all of the episodes faster than I planned, and now I'm chomping at the bit for season 5 to launch.

    Watching them in one go gives you the opportunity to be amazed at the variety of motel rooms they stay in, with their incredibly awesome wallpapers and screens!

    IMHO the show has the rocking-ist tunes on TV today. Episode after episode of some of my favourite 'guilty pleasure' hits of my university years.

    Ok, a bit of a bleg here...hadn't heard of Supernatural until I started reading morning spoilers here. Who knew its been around for five seasons? Can someone recommend a handful of the best episodes of the past seasons to watch to see if I like it? Let's assume I can cherry pick which episodes I want to see ;)

    @fletchtastic: I'd just go ahead and get the first season, really. I mean, skip the bug episode, but beyond that I don't think there's a lot of point in cherry picking from -every- season, considering it does tend to have overall arcs rather than being entirely episodic. And while you could start with a later season... I wouldn't say there's much point season 1 is probably the best way of seeing if you like it.

    Actually, it's a lot easier to think of episodes to skip.

    @shoroko: What IS it about the bug episode? I've watched the show from the first episode but missed that one. Since I don't like bugs I never made a point to catch the rerun. However, every time someone asks for a rec on which eps to watch, I see someone say "skip the bug episode from S1."
