As an aside, I've found that "They've returned from the dead" is an important signal generally.
Alone, and without one of the other factors mentioned above such as dance style, it may not be sufficient to establish that your significant other is a robot, but it almost certainly signifies something that you should be aware of, and almost certainly, avoid.
Also, if your significant other does not do any of the above except for having returned from the dead, but also does not do much of anything else and has a very stiff personality, he or she may not in fact have returned from the dead at all, and may, in fact, actually still be dead. This may or may not be a deal-breaker for you, but it's probably not something you want to find out on your honeymoon.
What is wrong with dating a robot? As long as he is not trying to kill you to stop you from giving birth to the savior of mankind, I see nothing wrong with a little robot love.
@Discodave: R.O.A.C.H. M.O.T.E.L.: Well, unless you made it clear at the beginning what your definition of "harm" was. I was using an expanded one to include mental harm, just for the sake of the gag. :)
@Discodave: R.O.A.C.H. M.O.T.E.L.: It's important to make sure your 'safe' word sounds a lot like the sound you involuntarily make as you are being crushed to death in a robot hug/gasping for air/bleeding profusely, etc.
@brinderwalt: when she beats the entire Dalek race - several times, destroys a Cyberfleet with nothing but her brains, comes back from the dead 10 times and can introduce france to the banana daiquiri, then she can talk to me.
@berserkiest: Yeah, I was thinking that Batman is just the kind of thug that the Doctor loves to beat up on and The Doctor is just the kind of quirky overconfident guy that Batman handles with ease.
I'm new and am not a giant River fan. Hell she couldn't even convince me to watch the Sarah Conner crap, but she's very good in either a knuckle brawl or gun fight. That said, she was never going to make it against anyone who's going to spend the battle thinking. Not only does she lose against the Dr., she'd lose against Batman also. Both for the same reason. If she manages to knock them back on a pure physical level, they'll stop, think, and win. Kirk was good with a plan, but switching streams was not his strong point, and that's what you need to beat her.
I also gave Anthony Fremont the win. Very few have any kind of chance against him. The Doc's one, and Bats and Kirk might find their way back, but they would've lost the first fight.

Kirk never had a 14 day dry spell in his life.

The Roger Korby one always creeped me out even as a child.
On a Buffy note: having lovable John Ritter playing such vile character was a stroke of genius.

Yeah, yeah, sure sure. That's why DwightKnight keeps repeating "riverwouldwinriverwouldwinrive...."
River may be a badass, but her fans are a bunch of whiners, apparently.

Bats would probably just glower at the Doctor, who would try to fill in the awkward silences.
