Ugh, how predicktable. I suppose Tessa should get something from Scanner Darkly and deserves what ever comes from The Owl in Daylight but why block Ubik? It's all so icky.

On another note, that cover image is made of pure Awsomemantium. Thanks for the post Ms. Anders.

Is Phillip K Dick the best Sci Fi author ever or something? Why is every burp he ever let out made into a movie?

@Mark 2000: They were pretty high-concept burps. *morp* Guy running from robots doesn't know he's a robot too *braap* Memories available for download *beerrroppp* Reality is not real *gooorrp*

@Sproing: Yeah... but Dick in particular suffered from being overknown. His good writings are very good, but they're a little bit more acclaimed than they probably should be. But the upside is when you tack his name onto a movie it is guaranteed to make 25% more money than before.

Ubik was okay... but it won't make a good movie. I mean, it's just going to be a vanilla sky clone, isn't it?

@Pope John Peeps II: Well, "high-concept" in moviespeak doesn't necessarily mean good. It just means "easy to explain to a confoundingly dumb studio exec."

Okay, so she's not his widow, she's his ex-wife. How does that make her entitled to it more than his kids?
