Michael Gondry's New Flick About How His Son Is A Galactic Dictator

Michael Gondry, who directed Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the futuristic flick about consumer tech for selective memory editing (see clip), says he's set to direct an animated scifi feature with his 16-year-old son. It will be a space opera about a dictator and a rebel, which Gondry says is an allegory for their father-son relationship - except the son is the dictator. Can you say "needing years of therapy"? Many have speculated that the flick could go the way of another famous father-child scifi collaboration, Robert Rodriguez's Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl. (Thankfully Rodriguez has returned to more wholesome fare like Planet Terror.) Then again, the Gondrys' flick could be great. Gondry says it's based on his son's art, and Gondry himself is no slacker when it comes to amazing visuals.
