The irony is that the dolphins are the only ones who can hear the special message from the aliens that will give us all immortality and our fulfill our wildest dreams.
I thought the silver bullet in the Global War on the Cetacean Menace was that we could, you know, make bullets. All dolphins know how to do is swim around and have sex and eat. They can't even make sharpened sticks. They're just water savages.
Well, there are good teachers and bad teachers, sane teachers and mad teachers. Do we really need robots that can be molded into a morality by a human instructor? Oh, what the heck. I for one welcome the new robot overlords and pray that my proteins may find a useful function sheathing the endoskeleton of a late-model HK.
I am with you Graeme, this is kind of creepy. Someone needs to dig up Isaac so he can finish the positronic brain and hard wire it with the three laws.

But the dolphins didn't sign up for it.

Please don't kill humanity. We have so many nice things to offer. Like donuts and skateboards.
I think we can live in peace.

P.S. If you come across 4chan, remember, they don't represent all of us.

The real danger is not self-aware kill-the-humans Terminators.
The real dangers are bugs and unanticipated operational situations.
Think of all the bugs you have on desktop programs. Robots run programs. Give physicality to that same level of quality and you have danger.

I kid, I kid. We are doomed either way.
