    Interesting.
    At the Rossum Corporation website under the Terms link, there is a heading Confidentiality [www.rossumcorporation.com] :

    It says "We are registered as specified by the provisions of the Data Protection Act of 1998".

    This is a piece of legislation from the UK [en.wikipedia.org] , implying that the website (and Rossum Corporation itself) is legally domiciled in the UK and that their London office is Rossum's headquarters.

    However, the last of the 22 (out 0f 48) Rossum Regional Offices listed under 'Locations' at [www.rossumcorporation.com] is Akranes.
    Akranes is a small town in west Iceland.
    It is situated on the opposite side of the Hvalfjorour ("Whale-fjord") fjord from the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik.
    Hvalfjorour fjord was the site of a major whaling station located on a former WW2 British and American naval base, until it was shut down in 1982, the year given for Rossum's start of operations in 'Rossum Corporation responds to US Senate Investigation' (and also the start date of its webpage text's copyright).
    In 1998, a 5.7km connecting tunnel from Akranes to Reykjavik, that passed 165m directly below the base, was opened.
    There are photographs of parts of a tunnel complex shown on the 'Mission' and 'Vision' pages.
    Iceland and Reykjavik in particular, is the preeminent world centre of research to identify genes associated with particular diseases using population studies, due to the unparalleled level of genealogical data available on its genetically isloated population.
    On the 'About us' page; "New for 2008 - the Rossum Corporation offers exclusive 5-year paid internships for candidates of superior genetic disposition. Contact a Rossum Human Recruitment office near you for more details".

    In summary, the Rossum Corporation has been running a genetic research and experimentation operation from Hvalfjorour since its inception in '82, built a major underground complex there in the '90s and has been harvesting the fruits of its labours since '08.

    [Although (and possibly as well) Halver is a town in Germany, Ms.Glau's father is of German descent and Dichen Lachman's character's real name, Priya Tsetsang (given in 'Epitaph One'), is that of her mother's family's hometown in Tibet.] #dollhouse
